What's good everyone! It's been a minute, fatherhood has certainly kept me busy! Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for all of the love and support this past 1+ year for my family! Mateo is a happy, giggly, and loving 13 month old boy now! So blessed!

Some BIG NEWS on my end here, especially after a long few weeks of some traveling and taking care of a baby!

I couldn't be more excited for what's to come as an official voting member of the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs! I was sent an invitation earlier this week!

A huge thank you to every single collaboration, group I've worked with, all of my music ensembles I've ever played and sang in (instrumental and ****la), all of my teachers, my friends and family, and my biggest loves and cheerleaders: my wife and son, Alex and Mateo! Everything has lead to this moment!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone's music creating is strong and flowing! To all students finishing out the school year or semester right now, best of luck with finals! Summer is right around the corner! To those who have finished school, starting their next chapters, and/or graduated, congratulations!

The ****la world has been thriving, and it's great to see so many recordings being released, and festivals going strong! Haven't seen and felt this excitement since before the pandemic! We've truly come out of the dark and the light is shining bright for all musicians! Still plenty of work to do, but we're right where we need to be!

I've been MIA for a bit because at the end of March, my wife gave birth to our baby boy, Mateo Anthony Cincotta-Guest! He's now almost 7 weeks old (!!), and life has never been the same since he came into our world! It's been a whirlwind, but what a joy it is to step into the role of fatherhood! I can't wait, and I'm beyond excited, to share my music and a ca****la life with my son!

To all a ca****la groups, if you are looking for any new arrangements, recording projects, or master classes, I'm here for you, whether it's for the end of this semester, the summer, or the next academic year and beyond! Let's make some great music together! 🎶

Exciting times! Last night, I had the absolute pleasure, and privilege, to work with The Bottom Line, the ****la group from Bryant University! Let me tell you, what a night to remember!

I have been working with this group since 2014, and every time I get to work with this immensely talented ensemble, I learn something new. From engaging with critical listening skills, to discussing emotional elements of their songs, to introducing movement in music, we did it all!

TBL: Thank you all for being so open and vulnerable, it led to some powerful, emotional musical moments last night! Beyond inspiring! Keep up the wonderful work, and best of luck with your Varsity Vocals Quarterfinal in March, along with the rest of the semester! Until next time! 🎶😊

2023 is off to a great start in regards to working with ****la groups! I had a fantastic time running a master class with Accent A Ca****la earlier this week, from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School!

I’ve been meeting up with this group since 2014, and every time I get the chance to work with them, I am in complete awe of the talent! Such passionate singing! Can’t wait to see all that you do during the rest of the year, Accent! 🎤🎶🙌🏼

I hope everyone is having a great end to 2022! Had an absolute BLAST judging the Boston College A Ca****la Showcase on Saturday at the 24th Annual Boston College Arts Festival, run by the Boston College Arts Council! So many great ****la groups at BC! Wow! So 14 years ago, I was lucky enough to experience and compete in my first Varsity Vocals Finals with my college ****la group, Ithaca****la. This weekend, the ICCA (collegiate division) and (high school division) are once again taking place in ! It’s exciting to see this incredible competition with a whole new generation of young, talented singers and a ca****la groups!!

A special shout-out and congratulations to my dear friends NR_NOTEorious, from North Reading High School, who will be representing the Northeast region TONIGHT in the High School Finals! I’ve been lucky enough to work with them in the past, and it’s been amazing to see and watch them grow, and now compete in one of the biggest a ca****la competitions in the world! Good luck to all competing groups this weekend!

Hey everyone! Happy November! I can't believe 2021 is starting to come to a close! Less than 2 months, it will be 2022...crazy!

While reminiscing on my wedding day last month, one of my sisters ended up capturing and sending over one of the most memorable moments of that special day (thanks Elizabeth)! A beautiful ****la performance during our ceremony, of an arrangement I created for Alex of "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman. This super-group consisted of friends I sang/sing with in high school, Ithaca****la, Redline, and Ball in the House!!

Hello everyone! It's been a good while, and I just want to say THANK YOU, to all of you, for sticking around and following me elsewhere through other social media formats! I hope all is well with you and that everyone is healthy and safe! It's great seeing so many groups getting back into it! It's certainly been a BUSY year for me, especially outside of and ****la! Now that life is slowly coming back to normalcy, you'll definitely be seeing more regular posts from yours truly! Some highlights over the past 5 months:

- I GOT MARRIED!! 4 days ago to be exact, and after a long year and 4 months of planning, my (now) wife and I had the best day of our lives; it was an absolute dream. Celebrating our love with many of our friends and family made our big day that much more special. I love you, Alex Cincotta-Guest ❤️

- My Cut Off Studios family have been working HARD with many productions and online educational events. After a loooong time, we're finally having an IN-PERSON event coming up soon! - Ball in the House has been touring the past month out in the Midwest -- don't worry, I came home early from the tour to get ready for my wedding! 🙃 Along with performing a bit more regularly in-person with the group at schools and theaters (again, getting back to some normalcy!), developing new educational shows, and revamping our virtual shows and online presence, we've also been recording a new originals album! We actually are about to release the first single off the album in 1 WEEK! Take a listen to the teaser below! I did all of the production work (recording, editing, and mixing), and the master was done by none other than THE Bill Hare. I'm really proud how it turned out! Hello everyone! I hope all is well and that you're enjoying the start of Spring! I can't believe it's been over a year since we've all been social distancing and following COVID-19 safety protocols! It's been a long, difficult, and tiring year for sure, but thankfully we've all been able to keep music making and singing in our lives in some way, shape, or form, safely of course!

So grateful to see many friends, educator friends, and family starting to receive COVID vaccines -- myself included, I had my first dose of Moderna a couple weeks back! There's a light at the end of the tunnel! Let's all continue to support and uplift one another, more so than ever, as we head back towards some "normalcy"!

Hope everyone is off to a strong and fun 2021 with your music making! ****la and rehearsals and meeting up to sing can be tricky now-a-days, especially with COVID-19 still floating around. So how do I continue to stay on top of learning new rehearsal techniques and grow my knowledge in the choral and a ca****la world? By READING!!

I'm really excited to dive into this new book I received as a gift over the holidays! "The Choral Conductor's Companion: 100 Rehearsal Techniques, Imaginative Ideas, Quotes, and Facts", compiled and edited by Brian J. Winnie.

The title says it all!! It's really cool to see some articles written by some wonderful and brilliant teachers I know! Dr. J.D. Frizzell (J.D. Frizzell FB page), Dr. Emily Young Frizzell (Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Memphis), and my former choral conducting teacher, Dr. Janet Galván, Conductor, at Ithaca College! I can't wait to dive deeper into choral singing and continue to expand my knowledge! There are even some articles about contemporary a ca****la!
