One of the most important things to know as a growing artist: who you align yourself with can make your break your career. 💯

✅ Talk About Your Goals. Where do you want to end up? Is music just a side gig or do you want to take it all the way? Sometimes artists just like making music and have no interest in a music career. Figure out where everyone stands and align with those on the same path.

✅ Communicate & Give Constructive Criticism. Having an open, honest and productive relationship with music peers is crucial to individual growth. Yes men kill music careers. Be open, responsive and humble.

✅ Collaborate. Networking is one of the most important ways to make connections and boost your music career.

❌ Don’t steal the spotlight. Allow individuals on your team to win and take ownership of their wins. Naturally, a win for one is a win for the team. Use it as motivation to achieve your next win!

❌ Don’t take constructive criticism personally. You’ll get it from fans, peers, friends or even family, not everything you make will cater to everyone’s tastes or sound great. Theres a big difference between constructive criticism and plain hate. Be open 💪🏼
