Rhett had a meet and greet today ❤️. A former Bully4you foster Rebecca Ansley Ward is going to give her all at adopting Rhett and has agreed to community foster for us if for some reason it does not work out. Rhett is home 🐶🐾. Rhett has a beautiful ten year old sister and a kitty to look out for.

Little did I know this yesterday but this ended up being Rhett’s freedom ride. I will work with him a few days and then he’s going into foster with Samantha. Rhett has turned out to have near perfect behavior. Good with cats, dogs, birds and people. Rhett knows a handful of tricks. Rhett is potty trained. Rhett will not see the pound again. ❤️🩷. Rhett is still available for adoption just fill out the application pinned to the top of the page. 🐶🐾🎄

Rhett made it from Martintown Rd to Parker’s on Jefferson-Davis Highway without being struck by a car which in itself is a minor miracle at his age. Rhett was microchipped and owner surrendered. We were told to “do what we needed to do”. We intend to find Rhett a good home to get healthy and live out the rest of his days in. Please help us help Rhett.

Ok these were the two dogs that were spotted at circle k at exit 1 and picked up in the Barony. Both are both sweet boys. They’re pretty good with one another that we have seen so far.

Well y’all…..Ginger is ADOPTED!!! We want to thank Officer Craig for going to work on Black Friday to make this happen. This marks an eighth private adoption in our shelter in the last couple of weeks. There is something magical in the air here in North Augusta and we hope you’ll come be part of it.

And the lick trays were hung by volunteers on the kennels with care in hopes that Freya and Ginger’s forever family soon would be there.

Sadly, when Officer Craig arrived this morning Sadie and Cookie had escaped their runs. Both are injured from fighting one another. Both dogs will be euthanized for aggression. We went into the shelter to read The Night Before Christmas yesterday and had planned on bringing you that video today. There is video that shows all the dogs are secure in the kennels before Officer Craig and volunteers left yesterday. Our volunteers are simply gutted by this. 🥲

Every year we do something big for a local Shelter in need. This year we are returning to the N. Augusta Shelter. It is a very small, very under funded, shelter that continues to need our support.

As everyone starts their holiday shopping we ask if you could please keep our wishlist in mind to help the POUND PUPPIES not just for Christmas but throughout the year.

Happy Friday everyone! We are pleased to announce that Sage has left the building. She has entered into a “citizen’s hold” situation and if she is not claimed she may have found a new furever home! We will keep you updated on Sage’s situation.
