Howdy, creeps. I know it's been a while. No I haven't ghosted y'all, I'm still alive and kickin' but I'm gonna be real honest, Ive been struggling to be motivated about producing the pod. I was having frequent night terrors as I'm reliving everything that happened to me in The House each time I write, narrate and edit the podcast. Adult Tina gets pretty sad for the little girl who lived in The House and it can be really heavy. The good news is after some soul searching, I will be resuming Season 3 in July! I appreciate all of you sticking around, messaging and saying kind things about the pod as it keeps me going! Keep it creepy and don't go chasing any voices you hear in the night.

The time has come to return to the hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky and see what horrors The House has in store. Anyone else already thinking about the deviled eggs you're gonna crush this Thanksgiving? Deviled eggs are an intricate part of most Appalachian gatherings. Growing up, that was the main source of sustenance while the turkey slow cooked in the oven for half the day. We celebrated two Thanksgivings in The House and all I can remember enjoying the taste of was those eggs. In parts of Appalachia, eggs can also be used for "cleansing" rituals if evil is suspected in a household. Egg cleansings go back hundreds of years in a variety of cultural settings. "Reading" the egg could tell you a variety of things about how and where that "evil" is manifesting. Some examples of readings includes :
"If the egg smells bad or has a strong odor, this is a sign of evil being done or severe illness. This is also the interpretation should the egg show blood.
Small spots of blood in the water show signs of bad luck and damage done by Conjure. Especially if the water is also cloudy or murky.
If the water becomes cloudy without scent or blood, there’s been a loss of vital energy via a hole in the aura which needs to be healed. In many folk traditions this is a sign of nightmares, ptsd, susto (the fright), etc.
If the egg yolk makes the shape of a face, this is a sign of a enemy. A slender face represents a man, a round face means a woman.Webs and patterns made by the egg.
If the yolk looks like an eye of sorts, this shows that the evil eye is present and will most likely warrant additional sessions to be removed, paired with other cleansings.
Small bubbles in the water or egg show that negativity has been removed.
If the water is clear without any abnormal shapes, scents, etc. and the yolk sits perfectly at the bottom with very little egg moving up to the surface of the water, then nothing unnatural has occurred and no more cleansings are needed.
Patterns of web formations show that something is catching you up, stopping you, or there’s a blockage. Additional sessions are also warranted here to further remove any existing problems.
If the patterns make a pyramid, this indicates that the cleansing went well but there seems to be a little bit left. Do another cleansing."
With egg cleansings, it is expected for the whole egg to sink to the bottom. This shows that all negativity was removed. If a part or the whole thing floats then another session is needed. If only part of the egg floats in the glass this shows that there is a small problem or that it is still developing and can immediately be fixed.

Howdy folks, I'm working on tomorrows episode, which will be a two-parter involving a visit to Mamaw. Talking about her can be difficult because I got to spend so precious little time with her. She was the only grandparent I ever got to know, so every memory is precious, even the ones where I talked to her about The House. Here's a picture of her and my papaw (who is my name sake, Crit.) I'm also attaching a link to Old Regular Baptist singing, as I mention her being Old Regular Baptist. There are fewer and fewer of these churches left, even in the heart of Appalachia due to their strict moral codes, but their singing reminds me of her every-time. I'll post the link to the episode here tomorrow morning and I'm hope you'll be able to feel the warmth of my love for her in these episodes.

Hey folks, just checking in to say I had to take a small break from the podcast due to some PTSD responses I've had since resuming my story. I'm not gonna lie, it's tough to re-live the things that happened to me in The House. Most of the things I talk about are some of the most difficult moments in my life. If it was just telling a story, it would be easy but all the fear, trauma and anxiety of living in a haunted house can be pretty overwhelming at times. There are moments when it feels very cathartic, but for some reason in the last episode, it prompted the return of night terrors, insomnia, and just general anxiety. I plan on resuming May 1st after some recovery time. I'm grateful to everyone hanging in for the journey.
