RAISE THE BOWS - IT’S FINALLY FRIDAY 🍻

First time in a long time that I’m not sitting on a tag in pocket. 👏🏻 but probably should get some Michigan tags and see if I can shoot a doe or two by the time the season ends.

Don’t forget that the late season urban management zone goes until Jan 31st in SE Michigan! Any legal tag is useable so you’re able to shoot bucks or does on public or private land as long as you are in the area that is legal to hunt. Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties are the only places where this is possible!

Wherever I May Roam 🚌 💨

Nothing better than a good story around a tailgate with the man that showed you the way of the bowhunter’s lifestyle. Without him, I wouldn’t have this burning passion for all things bowhunting. 💯

Hopefully more of the places I roam in the future will be filled with more encounters like I experienced this 🏹

Couldn’t hide it if I tried 💯

Just something magical about those mid-day rattling sessions in the heat of the whitetail rut during the month of November that’ll keep you coming back for more each and every year.

I will say, rattling isn’t always the best option depending on where you are hunting. For instance, I don’t generally rattle on public land in my home state of Michigan. However, when in the buckeye state on a four day rut-cation trip, I hit the black rack together everytime.

This exact sequence would end up being very deadly!

I love bowhunting and through that I’ve found out I love producing and creating content. Whether it’s digital graphics, photography or videography I throughly enjoy learning and creating it all.

🔥 FALL VIBES 🔥

Feels damn good to get back to shooting the bow on the daily. Definitely much needed, I’ve missed it like a mf’er 💯 and so has my mental health.

It’s crazy how something so simple as shooting a few arrows a day can help so much with my own personal mental health 🧠 and I’m positive it does the same thing for so many others. It’s one of the many things I love about and the sport of in general.

Hunting tends to take unnecessary shots in today’s society but the positivity and beneficial impact it brings to the world is undeniable.

I absolutely understand why people come to this place and never leave. Something about the mountains will do that to a person, I suppose. All I know is I can’t wait to come back here in the near future with my bow in tow and look to have a dream hunt chasing a bull elk. Thinking fall of ‘23 will be the year that quest begins!

A couple days late as I’ve been hanging out on public lands across Michigan and Ohio bowhunting but just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone that reached out and wished me a happy birthday earlier this week! 🥳

It means the world to me to have so many great friends and family. I’m so truly blessed! 🙏🏻

HANG TIGHT 🤙🏻

Taking my hangin’ n bangin’ to the next level. Finally completed my saddle setup. Starting with the Menace and Predator platform. It’s going to be put to the test this month. 13 out of the next 17 days you’ll be able to find me in a saddle hanging from a tree with my bow. I can’t wait for the games to begin.

Starting the trip out up north at our family cabin for deer camp with my Dad and some other family members. I’ll spending the next 3 days or so hunting the big woods of the Huron National Forest along the Au Sable River. It’s a beautiful part of the state that often gets overlooked but I am alright with that. Deer camp here is about more than just antler size or anything of the sort. It’s about filling the freezer and self-sustenance. That I can respect and even admire. Hell, I’m even going to partake. I have three tags and I won’t be too picky this go around. Time to fill the freezer.

It’s definitely vastly different from the type of hunting I’m accustomed to but I can’t wait to put my skills as an outdoorsman to the test. It’ll be nice to be ultra mobile and light. I think it’s been proven to be a game changer and I can’t wait to find out for myself as I think I have a pretty decent plan put together!

Man, I could watch bucks cruise the timber twelve months a year and never get sick of it. November lights my fire like nothing else.

Believe it or not, It’s almost that time of year but first we have to get past the early season sweat sessions of October.

Damn, it’s almost the best time of the year!

F A L L 🍁 C O L O R S

It’s really starting to feel like fall but I’m not getting my hopes high as I know it’s not here to stay.

We’re always due for at least one early October heat wave, seems like it happens just about every year and I end up sitting in a pool while on early season doe patrol.

But damn, this weather sure does get me excited for this upcoming fall!

I can’t wait to see those beautiful fall colors, brisk November mornings and plenty of whitetails parading past my .outdoors stand as I look to notch another tag!

BOWSZN IS COMING | 10-01-21 💯

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, BOWSZN can not come soon enough.

Not just to be on the chase again but for the mental vacation it also provides. Being in the outdoors always gives space for me to cleanse the soul and the mind.

I am very much looking forward to fully immersing myself on some public lands across this great country and letting my mind wander a bit about what’s coming ahead in the next year or two, not only for myself but my family, too.

So many great things, so much to be happy and excited about. Extremely grateful and feeling beyond blessed to be able to live the life I do.

Just a few more weeks and it’ll be time to start hanging and banging in Michigan and Ohio before I head to Nebraska on a DIY public land escapade with my Dad!

There’s still plenty left to be done prior to the first hunt but that’s par for the course. However, it can not come quick enough. Summer’s been long and busy. I’m beyond ready for bonfires, bucks and a bunch of bow hunts!

Other than success on my first western trip, the thing I’m most concentrated on is sending one through the pump station of “Brutus the Buck” who’s pictured below.

Last year, he won the game. This year, I’m winning the battle.

With each passing day we are gaining ground on my favorite time of the year. It’ll be here before I know it, just like every other year.

If I’ve learned one thing over my time of being a bowhunter, it would be to prepare every single day of the year to be at your absolute best so that when it’s time to make “it” happen in the whitetail woods you don’t let it slip away.

Feeling pretty damn lethal with my setup this year, maybe more than ever. But, there’s always work to be done! 💯

EMBRACE • THE • GRIND 👊🏻

The next couple months are going to be hectic as hell at the shop. However, it’ll be worth it when I’m sitting in the timber watching the sun rise and woods come to life while on the chase for a bruiser of whitetail in Ohio, or if I’m lucky spot and stalking a massive Muley in western Nebraska for the very first time!

After shooting the Ranger hinge from for the past 6 months or so I made a switch to the Versa for this upcoming BOWSZN.

I wasn’t shooting the hinge bad at all but after some thought and consideration I think a thumb button will be the best option for when s**t hits the fan in the whitetail woods and I’m trying to self-film and shoot a bruiser of a whitetail.

We shall see how it goes… 68 days!

🩸 🩸 🩸

Last year I used the DESTRUKT 100 grain broadhead for the first time and I have to say I was blown away.

They performed flawlessly. They tuned like a breeze. Flew like absolutely darts and hit like a damn tonka truck.

I couldn’t be any more excited to put them back in my quiver this upcoming fall.

Ps. We are only 85 days away in my home state of Michigan! 👏🏻 Mighty jealous of all those taking advantage of the early September openers! Looking forward to doing that in 2022 🤞🏻
