[미주한인의 소리] 젊은 한인 여성들, 맨해튼서 윤석열 탄핵 집회 주도 | Young Korean Women Lead Impeachment Rally in Manhattan

On the evening of December 13th at 7 PM, approximately 50 Korean Americans gathered in the heart of Manhattan's Koreatown to call for the impeachment of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol. The rally, led notably by young Korean women, highlighted growing concerns and dissatisfaction with Yoon's leadership. Demonstrators urged the National Assembly to pass the impeachment motion and vowed to continue their solidarity and action.

This powerful demonstration showcased the voice of the Korean diaspora standing in unity with movements back home.

뉴욕은 세계에서 물가와 생활비 부담이 가장 큰 도시 중 하나입니다. 팬데믹 이후, 많은 이들이 집을 잃고 거리로 내몰리고 있습니다. 몸과 마음의 병, 가족의 부재 등으로 어쩔 수 없이 뉴욕의 한인 노숙인 쉘터 '더나눔하우스''를 찾게 된 이웃들의 이야기를 담아 다큐멘터리를 제작했습니다. 도움의 손길이 필요한 우리 이웃들에게 사랑과 희망을 전할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바랍니다.

The powerful sound of Korean drums echoed through downtown Manhattan, bringing together a diverse group of immigrants at Foley Square. This rally, organized by the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), aimed to protect the rights of immigrant communities and raise their voices against anti-immigration policies.

Joined by organizations like the MinKwon Center and the Asian American Federation, attendees stood in solidarity, advocating for the safety and rights of undocumented neighbors.

This is Korean American Voice, a platform dedicated to sharing the stories of Korean Americans.

Launched this year, Korean American Voice is a YouTube channel designed to deliver news, updates, and various lifestyle information for the Korean American community in New York.

Hoon Entertainment has been working closely with various organizations within the Korean American community, utilizing visual media such as videos and photos for storytelling and branding. While we have established a framework for high-quality production, we recognize the challenges of distribution and outreach. In response, we’ve initiated a project to document the history of Korean American immigration through visual media while connecting generations within our community.

Korean American Voice is more than just a news channel. It’s a meaningful platform that preserves the stories of our immigrant community and amplifies its diverse voices. Your interest and support are essential to achieving this vision.
