We sent our son to my mother-in-law’s for two weeks while he was on school break. He loves visiting her and the city she lives in, so we never worried about him.
On the last day of his stay, which was also my birthday, his grandma was supposed to bring him back home and stay for the party.
That morning, I woke up and got a call from an unknown number. Thinking it was a birthday call, I answered. But instead of a cheerful greeting, I heard my son’s terrified, trembling voice:

Michelle and I have been together for a year. It had been 5 years since I lost my beloved wife in a car accident, so finding someone I could see a future with was pretty difficult.
I knew Michelle had a son, but she wanted to be sure about our relationship before introducing us. So, yesterday, we finally met during lunch.
Jack, 15, was rude and distant toward me. The whole encounter was awkward, and when he started speaking French to Michelle, it only made things worse. He wasn't trying to show off; it was clear he didn't want me to understand what he was saying.

NEIGHBORS HATED THE COLOR OF MY HOUSE AND REPAINTED IT WHILE I WAS AWAY — I WAS ENRAGED & TOOK MY REVENGE.
My house is on a corner lot. Two years ago, a newlywed couple moved in next door and immediately made weird comments about my house's yellow color. Soon, they outright DEMANDED I paint it a different color. My house has always been yellow; I love it, and there's no rule against it.
They called the police and the city on me, but both told them to back off since I hadn't done anything wrong. They even tried suing me (the suit got tossed, and they had to pay my legal fees) and attempted to rally our neighbors to form an HOA to force me to repaint. Our neighbors told them to get lost, so now they're alienated by everyone.
I had to go out of town for two weeks, and when I got back, my house was GRAY. I almost drove past it because I'm so used to my yellow house. The neighbor from across the street came over and showed me pictures he took of the painting company setting up and doing the work. He and another neighbor called the police, but the painting company had a valid work order and had been paid, so the police couldn't do anything.

My wife and I finally moved into our dream home — a cozy, old house in a picturesque neighborhood. To celebrate, we decided to throw a housewarming party and invited all our neighbors.
The night of the party, everything seemed to be perfect except one strange detail — all of them came in red gloves. Moreover, no one took them off — not even to eat or drink. Some even tried to hide their gloved hands.

THE BEST PETTY REVENGE I'VE EVER SERVED UP - AND NO, I'M NOT ASHAMED
Three people (one man and two women) have recently moved into the apartment above mine, all working in the restaurant industry. Almost every weeknight, they come home at 2:00 a.m. and proceed to BLAST their TV, which is right above our bedroom.
One night, I finally have enough and go upstairs to knock on their door.
The man answers, and I ask him why his TV is so loud. He casually tells me it's probably the SUBWOOFER.
I ask if he could turn it down, and he responds with something like, "Well, after a long shift, we all like to wind down and watch a movie. Turning off the subwoofer would decrease the quality of the experience."
I ask if he's serious, and he just stares at me blankly.
So, I go back downstairs, inform my girlfriend of what happened, and we start devising a plan. I come up with the pettiest revenge idea of my life and share it with her. All she had to do is take my dog ⬇️

HONEYMOONERS TRIED TO MAKE MY FLIGHT HELL AS REVENGE - I TAUGHT THEM A STRICT LESSON.
It was a 14-hour flight, so I paid for a premium economy seat because I wanted to be comfortable.
The person in the next seat asked if I could switch seats with their wife as they had just gotten married and were on their honeymoon.
I congratulated him on his nuptials and asked where his wife was sitting. He pointed toward the back of the plane. In economy.
I declined to switch seats. He asked if there was any way to convince me. I offered to switch if he paid the difference between the seats, $1,000 AU$.

MY LITTLE DAUGHTER CAME HOME LATE FROM SCHOOL LAST NIGHT!
AT THAT TIME, I DIDN’T KNOW SHE WAS A REAL HERO!
We live in poverty. I try to work as much as I can for my little girl, but it's still not enough. My Mila is a very capable student, so every evening she stays for extra classes and then takes two buses home, but always arrives at the same time.
That night, she didn’t. She didn’t arrive after an hour, two, or even three. The night was cold and scary... I called all her classmates, and teachers, but it was useless. Where could a 9-year-old be at night?! Anything could have happened to her!
I was calling the police, crying at the window. Suddenly, I heard the door open, and my little girl came home. She was tired, cold, pale, barely standing. I rushed to hug her, wiping away tears.

HUSBAND WENT TO FRIEND'S WEDDING FOR 3 DAYS, LEAVING ME AND KIDS $20 — HE FELL TO KNEES AFTER WHAT HE SAW UPON RETURNING.
So, my husband and I had a huge fight exactly an hour before he was supposed to leave for three days. That Friday, he left work early because his friend invited him to a wedding (I still don't get why I wasn't invited, honestly).

I TOOK MY SON TO VISIT MY BOYFRIEND'S PARENTS — I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT HE FOUND IN MY BOYFRIEND'S OLD ROOM.
I've been raising my five-year-old son Luke on my own since forever. My ex hardly ever sees him. Four months ago, I started dating Jake. He seemed like a total catch — a teacher who loves kids. When I introduced him to Luke, they hit it off right away. Recently, Jake invited us to his parents' house by the ocean for some chill time. It sounded perfect, so off we went.
When we got there, Jake showed us his old room. His parents hadn't changed a thing since he moved out. He still slept in his old bed when he visited. Then Jake and I headed downstairs to the living room while Luke stayed behind, playing with Jake's childhood toys.

A few hours later, I heard a noise coming from his room. My heart skipped a beat as I quietly approached his door and peeked inside. To my shock, I saw Sam climbing out of the window.
Remembering the psychologist's advice, I stayed calm. Since it was the first floor, I knew he wouldn’t get hurt.
I slipped out the front door and followed him from a distance. The street was empty, but then a car pulled up nearby.

Filled with ambition, I decided to leave home at 16. Despite my love for my mother, I felt constrained by the life laid out for me on the farm. So, I left my mom a note and set off on a journey to the big city.
I didn't plan to return. Back then, I thought I wouldn't miss my mom, let alone the old farm, but I was wrong. Fast forward almost 15 years, and I stood on the doorstep of the house where I had spent all my childhood.
Now, the house was empty, and it seemed like no one had been there for years. In that moment, I felt regret, realizing how foolish I had been not to call her all these years.

MY DOG SUDDENLY BECAME VERY ATTACHED TO MY WIFE & WOULDN'T LEAVE HER ALONE — WHEN I FOUND OUT WHY, I GOT DIVORCED.
Our 3-year-old Labrador Retriever, Rocky, has recently become ridiculously attached to my wife of 8 years, especially after she got sick with a stomach bug.
He's always been a snuggler and favored her, but his clinginess just wouldn't stop, even after she got better.
Now he's a nervous wreck whenever she leaves, sitting by the door until she gets back and glued to her side when she's home. It got worse when he actually growled at another dog near her during a walk, something he's never done before.
We were freaked out, thinking it might be an aggression issue, so we decided to take him to the vet to make sure he wasn't in pain and to figure out what was going on. But soon, I discovered the real reason, and IT TURNED MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN BECAUSE MY WIFE⬇️
