YouTuber .choi Charged for Helicopter Fireworks Stunt Involving Lamborghini

Alex Choi, 24, known for his “car shenanigans,” faces federal charges for orchestrating a video where a helicopter fired fireworks at a speeding Lamborghini.

The Department of Justice announced Thursday that Choi is charged with causing the placement of an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft. If convicted, he could face up to ten years in federal prison.

Authorities believe the video was filmed at the El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in rural San Bernardino County, about 60 miles northeast of Los Angeles.

A federal magistrate judge released Choi on a $50,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for July 2, and no plea has been entered yet.
