When choosing an inverter, I want you to keep this in mind. Motors are designed to use the full sweep of a sine wave. Especially ones that have changing loads. A modified sine wave inverter only produces one portion of amplitude and causes issues with electric motors, like heat generation, loss of efficiency. But most commonly, noise.

So when you hear that whine, it's modified sine. πŸ˜…
