Flashback to last year’s chat with therapist & college friend Megan Stocker Headley (S4:E9) about heading into the holiday season with our loved ones. Holidays are a time of reconnecting with and spending quality time with our nearest and dearest, eating that good food and unfortunately, on occasion, reverting back to old patterns and grievances. Tensions can run high and old, unresolved matters can come to the forefront and thrust us back to a time we would prefer to leave in the past. This does not apply to all, but if it applies to you… take a listen to Megan discussing how our past roles don’t have to shape our present interactions with those who have known a version of us the longest. One of the best life decisions I ever made was moving to New York City. There really is no place like it. It ain’t perfect, yet it is! Who else feels like they can talk shxt about this rough & tough magical concrete jungle, but nobody else can?! What you learn, live, and experience is unmatched. I said what I said, and you are free to disagree. That’s the beautiful thing about life and… New York City! You can live your OWN, unique, soul-enriching life that works for you without having to get permission or justify what interests you and speaks to the deepest recesses of your heart, mind and soul. It is the most freeing and unapologetic place. And the city don’t care if you don’t like it! Do YOU, boo! 😂💯 I’ll share more of my personal journey and love for this city on an upcoming solo episode.
