One day, a family was having a BBQ in their backyard, and their playful boxer, Layla, was joyfully running around, hoping to snag some tasty morsels. The family decided to play a game of hide-and-seek with Layla to keep her entertained while they cooked. Layla was "it," and she eagerly began searching for everyone.

Layla, with her boundless energy and enthusiasm, was having a great time sniffing around and finding everyone. Finally, it was time for her to hide, and the family pretended to count. Layla, not quite understanding the rules, decided the best hiding spot was the most obvious one: she jumped up on the picnic table and plopped down right next to the grill, wagging her tail happily.

The family couldn't help but burst into laughter as they turned around and saw Layla sitting proudly on the table, her big eyes shining with excitement as if to say, "You'll never find me here!" Layla's innocent and comical misunderstanding of the game provided everyone with a hearty laugh and a memory they'll never forget.

It’s been a rough few days. I had 2 chihuahuas this time last week. They were brothers from the same litter. The day we got them we couldn’t decide on one so we got two. We got them both at 8 weeks old. They have been in our lives for 16 1/2 years. Otis our black one was on 2 heart meds for the last 5 years which caused his kidneys to fail. The day we were told his kidneys were failing we weren’t ready to put him down. We took him home and he was put on food stimulator. We hand fed him and supplemented with baby food. We got 2 1/2 more months with him . Grateful. He took a turn last week Friday so we decided to have him put down. It was a very hard decision. We took Oliver the fawn dog so he knew what was happening. When we took Oliver home he was instantly depressed. We knew to give him extra love and attention to get him through losing his life long brother. Well yesterday / Monday my husband called me at work frantically. He said he let Oliver outside and he had what appeared to be a heart attack in front of him. He carried him in the house and he passed instantly. We firmly believe that he died from a broken heart. He couldn’t live without his brother. The night before he passed he had the strangest bark in the yard like he calling his brother and telling him he was coming. We feel Oliver waited to pass until my husband got home. We are devastated, but grateful we gave them the Best Life possible life together. They are now together again 💔🌈
