When you see THE tree, you’ll just KNOW🌲😍
Who else is putting up their Christmas tree this week?! We go to this gem, Hidden Pond, for our tree every year because it’s such a vibe! They have hot cocoa ☕️fire pits 🔥 s’mores 🍫 a tractor train 🚜 and so many trees that you can cut down yourself!
If you know us, then you know we’re all about the experience, and that doesn’t stop when we’re home! Actually cutting down your own tree makes you appreciate the time and effort it took to grow it 🤯
If you REALLY know us, then you know we’re in wedding planning mode and have major decision fatigue right now. We’re not good at making decisions to begin with (we like to have our cake and eat it) so put us in a situation where a decision has to be made by close of business and you’re asking for trouble 🤣
Picking a tree wasn’t as easy as saying “yes” to hot cocoa, but we did it and there’s no looking back now! On to the next adventure 🚀
Are you team real tree or fake tree? 🌲🤔

Well, that escalated quickly 🫢
What started as a casual “What should we do for New Year’s?” turned into a 10-hour road trip to Quebec City. No flights, no reservations, just us, a packed car, and a playlist. By the time we arrived, the city was glowing with holiday lights, and we knew the long drive was 100% worth it 🙌
Celebrating New Year’s Eve in a fairytale city like Quebec felt magical! From cozy cafes to fireworks lighting up the Old City, it was the perfect way to start a new year ✨

📍Lago Di Sorapis in the Italian Dolomites 😮
Before anyone gives us any hate for this one, both of us are Italian (Cara is 100%, Tristan is 25%) and we’re both residents of New Jersey, so REEELAX! 😉
We actually love NJ, but it’s so hard to compare ANYTHING to Italy! We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this blue water at Lago Di Sorapis on a sunny afternoon in late June! The trail was about 4.5 miles long and very entertaining… think constant views and steep drop-offs the entire way. We’ll never forget on this hike the girl that we met who hiked the entire rocky trail BAREFOOT! Whoever you are, if you see this, please comment 🙏🤣

To each their own 🤷🏻♀️
One of our favorite hobbies is finding the tightest spaces on earth and climbing through them. We just found this CRAZY rock formation in New Hampshire…guess what we did 🍋
One thing you might not know about Cara: we think she has claustrophobia. She can never wear clothes that are too tight or jewelry for more than a few minutes. We knew fitting through the lemon squeeze was going to be a challenge for her, so naturally we had to do it 🤪
The lemon squeeze is part of a larger network of rock caves located in Lost River Gorge, NH. After entering the loop, you walk about 1/2 miles through the gorge until you get to the caves. The route is one way so once you go in, you gotta fully commit 💪🏼
Lemon Squeeze Cave @ Lost River Gorge
🪨16 inches wide
🪨 $24/person entry fee
🪨 North Woodstock, NH
Are you brave enough to do this or would you rather be in the club?
⚠️ Disclaimer: It’s best practice to never hike through ~true~ slot canyons during rain! This rock cave was in a supervised, regulated area and was only .1 miles long. Always check weather forecasts, know the risks, and stay safe out there! Nature is powerful—respect it.

Black Friday reminder to buy experiences like @flynyon instead of things 🚁🫶🏼
A couple years back, we promised each other that we’d move to experience based gifts instead of material things. The memories we make using these “gifts” are worth more than any handbag, sunglasses, or jewelry could ever be! We get to spend quality time together which is the best gift of all 🫶🏼💐
This is your sign to book an experience, @flynyon is having a 70% off + a free tote bag this Black Friday!

Do you know what Cappadocia is famous for?
If you answered hot air balloons, you’re not wrong. BUT, it is also famous for being “the land of fairytales” because of its unique landscape, otherworldly rock formations called fairy chimneys, which were sculpted by volcanic eruptions and erosion, creating a surreal and almost magical appearance that resembles scenes from a fairytale ✨
We flew here with @turkishairlines and spent 6 days with @gocappadocia to see the hot air balloons, hike the valleys, walk the old cities, and learn about the region’s history of cave dwellings and underground cities 😮
What we learned is: it is amazing what human beings are capable of. We crawled through miles of underground cities dating back to 2,000 BC, where people LIVED underground to escape war ⚔️
More recently, the first hot air balloon to carry commercial passengers was in 1991 by a British individual. Now, over 150 hot air balloons fly commercially every single morning over Cappadocia 🤯
Is Cappadocia is on your bucket list? Comment “🎈” and we’ll post our itinerary!

Here’s why we’ll never fly business class again ⬇️
It was good… TOO good 🤣
In 2022, we took an oath to never take a redeye again after we flew home from Las Vegas on a Sunday night with work the next morning. Well, we recently made an exemption to that rule to check our fifth continent off of the bucket list 🌏✔️
We like to say we’re backpackers who err on the side of boujee. We don’t usually find ourselves in hostels, or eating cheap street food, or taking red-eyes on budget airlines. Sure, we’ve done all of that in the past, but we’ve learned over the years how to travel smarter, not harder 🧠
When we found out we needed to be in Cappadocia by 10pm the day we were leaving, we did the math, taking into account the 14 hour travel time and 8 hour time difference. We had no choice but to do the overnight flight 😅
So we flew @turkishairlines business class and let us tell you… just WOW! First of all, the fully lay-down seats are the most comfortable thing you can experience while in the sky. Not only that, but the chefs on board hit you with a culinary experience we didn’t think was possible on an airplane. All this is to say, we might never be able to return to economy after this 🤣
10/10 experience 👌🏻

Took a break in Lisbon to reflect, here’s what we realized 💭
We traveled to EIGHT countries this year and experienced these bucket list things ⬇️
🇨🇦 Spent New Year’s Eve with total strangers in a different country at a winter EDM festival 🎶
🇲🇽 Rented a scooter and jumped into cenotes for a week in Tulum 🏍️
🇫🇮 Jumped in the ice cold water in Finnish Lapland (and sprinted to the sauna) 🥶
🇸🇪 Chased the northern lights in a winter wonderland in the Arctic Circle ✨
🇵🇹 Walked the streets of Lisbon during the summer festivals 🎊
🇲🇦 Took our first hot air balloon ride above the desert landscapes of Morocco 🎈
🇮🇸 Ran up to one of the worlds most photographed waterfalls, Skogafoss 💦
❓Any guesses what our eighth experience was?! 😉
Super honesty time, we never thought crossing experiences like these off of the bucket list was ever in the cards for us until we got our feet wet (soaked, even) with travel. We learned that, as with anything, the more practice you get, the better you get! If you start traveling small like we did, each trip will get easier. In no time, you’ll look back on your travels and think “wow, we really did that?!” and also “earth is wild, let’s go even further!”
Drop your favorite Planet Earth experience from this past year in the comments, we’d love to hear yours!
Time to LIVE like there’s no tomorrow 🌎

Sleeping in a Wine Barrel in Portugal?! Yes, Please 🇵🇹
Who knew a wine barrel could double as the cutest tiny home? Staying in this barrel-shaped cabin in the heart of Portugal’s wine country was everything we didn’t know we needed. Cozy vibes, vineyard views, and a bottle of local wine waiting for us, it was the perfect blend of unique and luxurious.
Between wandering the vineyards and learning about the winemaking process, we couldn’t believe that we were sleeping in a literal wine barrel! Portugal has so many unique stays, but this one is easily at the top of our list!
🍇 Would you stay in a wine barrel? Drop a 🍷 if this is your kind of adventure!

Glamping, but make it on the East River in NYC🗽
This might be the coolest hotel room we’ve ever been in that you CAN’T visit today! NYC Glamping was a short-lived experiment set up right in Williamsburg 🏙️
To get there, we took a subway and walked to an industrial district of Brooklyn, through a gate that made us feel like we were breaking in, down an alley with a coffee shop, tattoo parlor, thrift shop and a plant store, and through a shipping container that had zero signage or indication that it was in fact NYC Glamping 🤔
The vibes were super casual, which really made it feel like glamping, even though we were in the big city. A guy we thought might’ve let himself in showed us to our container we’d be staying in 😂
But when we saw the view from our bed, we were like “ok, this is NICE” 🙌
They even had a big parking lot that doubled as an outdoor movie theater 🍿
How they found this little undeveloped plot of concrete to build a makeshift glamping hotel on in NYC, we will never know! ✨
If you think NYC Glamping should come back to the city, comment “GLAMP” and we’ll start the petition! ✍️😉
