FORGIVE ME, MOMMY 😢🐾…
I was there where you left me for two whole days. Sleeping right on the side of the road. I was terrified of the noise from the cars but I did not move.
Last night one of those cars stopped and she got out. She invited me to lunch but I said no. She invited me to come sleep at her house and I also said no. I tried to explain to her that I was waiting for you but she wouldn’t listen. She pulled out a leash and said I couldn’t stay there any longer. I bit her several times and ended up peeing on myself as I growled and cried! She didn’t understand that she was separating me from you! She took me against my will and we drove off! I was so sad because I knew you were going to be worried. We ended up at her house.
I kept screaming hoping you would hear me but you never came. I vomited because of my nerves, feeling so sick. I kept telling her I had to go back because you were going to think I abandoned you when you saw I wasn’t there! I, who love you with all my heart and soul have not stopped crying since we separated a few days ago. I want you to know, I would never do that to you.
I don’t know where you are now or why you stopped the car and left me there. Surely you had something very important to do. Can you come find me now, mommy?
Today I ate because my tummy was hurting. I also slept on a very soft bed. And by accident I also wiggled my tail a bit. I’m so sorry, please forgive me. She’s just being really nice to me. She said I could stay forever. She’s calling me Savannah, but I already have a name. When you pick me up you can tell it to her. You’ll see how surprised she’ll be when you explain to her that this was a big mistake.
Because mommy, you’re coming back for me, right 😢🐾?

KISS OF LIFE"
In 1968, the author received the Pulitzer Prize for this photograph - one of the most prestigious awards in the United States, which is awarded for achievements in music, cinema, theater and journalism.
The picture shows two electricians, Randall Champion and Jay Thompson, hanging from a power pole. That day there was a strong heat and nothing foreshadowed trouble. The hum of air conditioners in July 1967 was heard throughout the state of Florida. Because of them, in the city of Jacksonville, there was an overload of power lines, and this caused a power surge.
Randall and Jay were doing routine maintenance on a live line when Randall accidentally touched one of the wires. A discharge of 4000 V passed through the body and his heart stopped. For understanding: during the ex*****on in the electric chair, a voltage of 2000 V is used
Randall's lifeless body hung from the harness. But his partner Jay did not lose his head, realizing that every second is precious, he began to give him artificial respiration right on the pole. It was very inconvenient, but there was no other way out. In such a situation, it is difficult to conduct a normal resuscitation, but Jay still tried to start his friend's heart until he had a weak pulse.
Only after that he unhooked his partner's insurance and, throwing him over his shoulder, went down to the ground. By the time the rescuers arrived (they were called by professional photographer Rocco Morabito, who happened to be at the scene), Champion was already conscious on the ground.
Not only was he saved, thanks to Thompson, but he lived another 35 years. The electrician died in 2003 at the age of 64.
Thompson is alive today.

Writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation. They deepen and widen and expand our sense of life: they feed the soul. When writers make us shake our heads with the exactness of their prose and their truths, and even make us laugh about ourselves or life, our buoyancy is restored. We are given a shot at dancing with, or at least clapping along with, the absurdity of life, instead of being squashed by it over and over again. ~Anne Lamott

My son caught the wrong train tonight. It was an express an hour away from his intended station. My son was scared and quietly crying. My husband and I were furiously trying to work out what train he was on and a way back.

A very kind lady asked him ‘are you ok darling?’

He said he didn’t know where he was and she helped him work out what to do to get back. Once at station she guided him to the right platform.

I wish I could thank her! Her kindness gave him comfort in a time of great vulnerability. Bless her. We are most grateful.

"This is my new friend, Kenny, but he goes by the nickname Frog, because of his deep voice. I stopped in at Goodwill today to find a shirt for a party I am having. I went in knowing that I was going to buy a shirt to cut the sleeves off of.
Apparently I was meant to stop here today. Mr. Kenny walked in and was begging for a clean tshirt, at a place which is run strictly from our donations. They not only turned him away, the cashier was nasty mean to him.
All he wanted was a clean shirt and maybe some pants. He kept saying how cold he was, and I am sure he was because his shirt was soaked. When they finally called for a manager, this gentleman stood In front of everyone embarrassed and crying, they couldn't even take him to the side, just let him stand at the counter crying.
I purchased 4 shirts, a pair of jeans and boxers as well as a comforter so that when he is sleeping under the bridge tonight maybe he will be warm.
There was another man that came up and gave him $5 for a warm meal, and Kenny promised he was going to get some chicken at Lees. I am not telling you so I can brag, I am telling you this so I can ask you to please say prayers for Kenny and all other homeless like him."

People laughed at this mom when she revealed she makes her 7-year-old son clean, and teaches him how to cook and do laundry. They mocked her, claiming she was turning him into a girl.
But I say cleaning cooking and laundry are life skills not wife skills.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.

The man with the blood of gold
This photo shows Australian James Harrison, aged 82. He's also known as "Golden Blood". At the age of 14, he underwent a major chest surgery and urgently needed about 13 liters of donated blood. He was in hospital for three months after the surgery. He realized the donated blood saved his life and promised to start donating blood as soon as he was 18.
Harrison began donating blood in 1954. It soon became known that his blood contains unusually strong and resistant Anti-D immunoglobulin antibodies, a substance in Mr Harrison’s blood is called anti-Rh D antigen, where if the mother has a different blood group than her child, the child could develop note hemolytic disease that can result in death.
On the basis of his blood plasma, a serum was created that, after giving it to a Rh-negative woman, who is pregnant with a Rh-positive child, prevents the formation of antibodies in the blood and thus hemolytic jaundice of newborns. Harrison donated his plasma an average of every three weeks for 57 years. In May 2011, he completed it for the thousandth time, which is a world record. By 2015, all of the anti rhesus drugs in Australia were produced solely from Harrison’s plasma. In May 2018, Harrison gave blood for the last time.
During this time, Harrison's plasma has helped save over two million lives (!!! ) newborns, including his own granddaughter.

If anyone recognizes this man in the orange shirt, you walk up to him and shake his hand. He doesn't seem like the the bragging type so I'll brag for him, while working out at Planet Fitness in Pascagoula a special needs man constantly approached him about 10 different times in a 45 minute time span with handshakes, hugs, questions, and interactions. Not only did this man smile, laugh, give him workout advice multiple times, and joke back with him while getting in his own workout but he didn't care who was watching while doing it. His patience, compassion, and friendliness was next level admirable. Towards the end of the workout the special needs man approached me and pointed to the man in the orange shirt and said 'that's my friend' with a huge smile on his face. The pics aren't the best but they were the best creeper pics I could take at the time 😂 and this guy deserves recognition. The world needs more people like this man in the orange shirt, well done sir.

Y'all, this is the sweetest. From what I can tell, this woman either went to Publix and/or brought stuff in a Tupperware from home and straight up MADE this man a sandwich right in front of him. Homemade. Made with love. Not just bought at a store. She came and, quite literally, broke bread with him. They were right outside of Maple Street Biscuits, so she totally could've just bought him a sandwich. But she didn't. She brought her own bread and meat and made him a homemade sandwich and even cut it in half 😭 I'm just broken.

Today God reminded me why I do what I do! While pumping gas this beautiful girl came to my truck... tears rolled in my eyes as I looked at her, her parents and big brother... Her mom said to her do you remember your angel, why did she say this? Because just over 3 years ago I was giving her lifeless daughter CPR. She was almost 2 and today she proudly shared she is 5 and on her way to Disney! This was such a blessed reminder why I do the job I do, and beyond grateful to the amazing agency I work for that believes in top notch training for their deputies and equipment to do our everyday tasks. Enjoy your Disney weekend pretty girl, you left my heart so full

11/05/2023

Gillian is a seven-year-old girl who cannot sit in school. She continually gets up, gets distracted, flies with thoughts, and doesn't follow lessons. Her teachers worry about her, punish her, scold her, reward the few times that she is attentive, but nothing. Gillian does not know how to sit and cannot be attentive.
When she comes home, her mother punishes her too. So not only does she Gillian have bad grades and punishment at school, but she also suffers from them at home.
One day, Gillian's mother is called to school. The lady, sad as someone waiting for bad news, takes her hand and goes to the interview room. The teachers speak of illness, of an obvious disorder. Maybe it's hyperactivity or maybe she needs a medication.
During the interview an old teacher arrives who knows the little girl. He asks all the adults, mother and colleagues, to follow him into an adjoining room from where she can still be seen. As he leaves, he tells Gillian that they will be back soon and turns on an old radio with music.
As the girl is alone in the room, she immediately gets up and begins to move up and down chasing the music in the air with her feet and her heart. The teacher smiles as the colleagues and the mother look at him between confusion and compassion, as is often done with the old. So he says:
"See? Gillian is not sick, Gillian is a dancer!"
He recommends that her mother take her to a dance class and that her colleagues make her dance from time to time. She attends her first lesson and when she gets home she tells her mother:
"Everyone is like me, no one can sit there!"
In 1981, after a career as a dancer, opening her own dance academy and receiving international recognition for her art, Gillian Lynne became the choreographer of the musical "Cats."
Hopefully all “different” children find adults capable of welcoming them for who they are and not for what they lack.
Long live the differences, the little black sheep and the misunderstood. They are the ones who create beauty in this world. 😇

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start.
While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked up the front walk, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.
When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.. His face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.
'Oh, that's my trouble tree,' he replied 'I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children.. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.' 'Funny thing is,' he smiled,' when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before.
THIS ONE IS WORTH SENDING ON.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. We all need a Tree!

When young people come into some money, they typically might use it for toys or video games or phones. But third-grader Wyatt Erber had a different plan after winning a thousand dollars. Now, the first thing you’re probably wondering is how in the world did a third-grader win a thousand bucks.
The 8-year-old entered a scavenger hunt in Edwardsville that was sponsored by a local bank, and he won the grand prize. But he really only entered the scavenger hunt for one reason: To help out his neighbor, 2-year-old Cara.
Cara’s mom, Trisha Keilty, had recently learned that her little daughter had leukemia. So young Wyatt wanted to win the prize to help his tiny neighbor out. He very much understood that leukemia was a bad thing, and he wanted Cara’s mom to use that money he won to take care of the problem.
Says Cara’s mom: “I knew he was wanting to do it for Cara, which is the sweetest thing ever. But an 8-year-old giving adults money? I tried to protest to his mom. Then she told me he asked how much chemo this would buy Cara. He gets it.”
Because of Wyatt’s incredible generosity to Cara and her family, a local charity matched his gift to them. When a man in Canada found out about the young boy’s deed, he sent him $100. And Wyatt’s mother could not be any prouder of her young son.
Says his mom, Noelle: “He’s always been a very sweet boy. I’m very lucky to call him my son.”

WE ARE A GENERATION THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK.
A generation that walked to school and then walked back.
A generation that did their homework alone to get out asap to play in the street.
A generation that spent all their free time in the streets with their Friends.
A generation that played hide and seek when dark.
A generation that made mud cakes.
A generation that collected sports cards.
A generation that found, collected and washed & Returned empty coke bottles to the local grocery store for 5 cents each , then bought a Mountain Dew and candy bar with the money.
A generation that made paper toys with their bare hands.
A generation who bought vinyl albums to play on record players.
A generation that collected photos and albums of clippings of their life experiences as a Kid.
A generation that played board games and cards on rainy days.
A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem.
A generation that had parents who were there.
A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn't know we were still awake.
A generation that is passing and unfortunately it will never return no matter how hard we try.
I loved Growing up when I did. it was the best of times.

10/28/2023

Every minute someone leaves this world behind.
We are all in “the line” without knowing it.
We never know how many people are before us.
We can not move to the back of the line.
We can not step out of the line.
We can not avoid the line.
So while we wait in line -
Make moments count.
Make priorities.
Make the time.
Make your gifts known.
Make a nobody feel like a somebody.
Make your voice heard.
Make the small things big.
Make someone smile.
Make the change.
Make love.
Make up.
Make peace.
Make sure to tell your people they are loved.
Make sure to have no regrets.
Make sure you are ready.
