'A little bit saddened by the comments earlier regarding the lights and mirrors in my remodeled bathroom. My husband and I tore our bathroom apart down to studs in our over 100 year old home. We did alone no help no contactor. Only a few tips from fellow crafters from the Tedooo app. We hot countless flaws and frustrations but we tried. Yes there are mistakes and flaws but it is what it is. To just move lights etc is a big job. Although I don’t mind positive feedback the negative ignorant comments hurt. I love this group and the many amazing people but I asked what vase would look best and got comments like “I hope this isn’t anyone’s home” please just be mindful when making comments. Thank you to everyone who gave positive feedback without being hurtful. Here is a before and after

I was thinking of replacing my front door but ended up painting it for just £30 instead I really didn't like my front door and have been dreaming about an anthracite door since I moved in but the prices are just far too high to justify for an 'aesthetic' job.
Instead I found out recently that you can just paint over it, and saw lot of inspiration on the Tedooo app (and also made my lil crafty shop in there!!) so this is what I did. First I cleaned it with sugar soap, lightly sanded it, and sprayed 2 coats of bedec multi surface paint on it. Quotes for new doors were starting at £1000, this cost me under £30 (paint, masking tape & film, sugar soap, and a sanding block. I know it's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

This is the bathroom of my house built in 1950. I am only the 2nd owner in 74 years. The walls are a glass tile called Vitrolite, which was popular in the Art Deco period. The tile color is jade with black trim. It was remodeled in 1963, which I know because the cabinetmaker signed a drawer, but the previous owner didn’t remove the tile in favor of something more “modern” and I’m grateful for that. The cabinetmaker also built my kitchen cabinets and signed those too. I absolutely love this tile and, while I’ve made a few updates over the years, I’d never remove it. I cracked a tile when replacing the shower hardware about 10 years ago and miraculously found a stock pile of it about 3 states away. It wasn’t a perfect match, and incredibly expensive ($150 for an 18x22 piece), but close enough that it’s hardly noticeable.

My Milo Tin foot stool.
Seems others might like to try to make one. The original one l copied came from my Grandma's and was Golden Syrup tins. I will add some pics down in the comments. Did this one a bit different with thin ply on top and bottom and some hi density foam as is going on a laminate floor in my Motorhome but that doesn't have to be there.
Sorry won't let me add photos below, but this is what l tried to post
Glued tins together with no more nails. When tins all together place on material and trace around then make seam allowance. Sides are just a straight piece of material height of tins. Sew top on and less than half way on the bottom then hand stitch once in. Is a bit jiggly but nice when done

'We built this for a family member who hasn’t moved in as of yet. We occasionally rent it out to pay for the insurance, taxes and utilities. We mostly have it for our children and family when they come home. I would 100% live here. 420 square-foot studio. Custom built by my husband.
*Adding because of several questions.
Location is Arkansas.
The cabin was built for a young adult.
I don’t have plans, they got lost unfortunately.
I designed it and my husband built it. We contracted the plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
There is a walk-in closet that has enough room for a stackable washer and dryer. We plan to add a carport with storage with a washer and dryer. No one lives in it full-time. It’s only for visitors at this time.
We purposely chose not to put a wall up for the bedroom because of light & air circulation when you use a mini split. And our adult sons have lived tiny and preferred an open studio.
