Jesus - our once frequent houseguest, still old friend, who we hope will one day have time to visit NYC again and sleep on our couch ... sent me this article, with this message: "Hey Hi Ho Ho Oh never mind you know this wasn't my birthday anyway I was really born in June, or thereabouts - but still, here's my annual Xmas Eve message to you and Peter. As you may have guessed, I'm in Gaza - will prob make my way back to Ukraine soon, but for now - I need to be here. It's as awful, horrendous, chaotic, bloody and bleak as you think, only worse. This story from WashPo caught my eye - with baby 'me" in rubble, gone viral, sadly, but hey, Right? Too, too accurate. Christmas is canceled here, because of the suffering in Gaza. And the suffering from Hamas's attacks on Oct. 7th. So much suffering. Too much. 20,000 Gazans dead - well more than half are children. Seriously, now more than ever, . Here's hoping for better days in 2024 - hugs to Peter and Heidi, Jesus out for now. 💔
