New Life Recovery Show: Dr. D'Andre Poole
Dr. D’Andre Poole is a Staff Psychologist who received a doctorate degree from Argosy University, Washington, District of Columbia in 2018. He has over ten years of direct experience in psychotherapy and assessment. He also received a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Washington, DC in 2013, as well as a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Howard University in 2009. As a former undergraduate student at Morgan State University, Dr. Poole received a full tennis scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2005.
Dr. Poole completed an American Psychological Accredited (APA) internship with the Mid-Atlantic Consortium Internship program, where he provided psychological and neuropsychological assessment, clinical interviewing, individual therapy, group/family therapy, crisis interventions, consultation, and outreach services. He also has practicum and work experience treating and assessing students with mild to severe mental illnesses within college and school counseling centers. His initiatives include suicide prevention, physical fitness/mental health and wellness, and mental health disparities within the African American community.

Beverly Frances Smith is a Native Washingtonian and the author of “HE kept me” her story is about growing up in SE during the crack epidemic and how she overcame many obstacles through her relationship with God. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Momma’s Safe Haven a 501c3 non profit organization located in SE DC that encourages Self Love, Higher Education and Self Employment through several workshops, events, retreats and support groups. She is an award winning filmmaker “Still I Rise” , “#resilience and “MisUnderstood”. She is an International Transformational Speaker with The Community Family Life Services Speakers Bureau and The DMV Lead for Voices of Black Mothers United. In 2018, she was crowned Miss Congress Heights, In 2019, she received A Resolution from the Council for her dedication to her community. The Washington City Paper named her “A Healer” and she is a member of Black Women Thriving East of the River. Beverly is a mother of 4 adults, grandmother of 5, community leader, teacher, forever student and a Child of God. She enjoys sharing her gifts with others, vacationing and networking with like minded individuals, organizations and businesses.
