St. Vincent and the Grenadines La Soufriere volcano currently at stage 3.
Stage 3 is the orange stage which indicates that the volcano can erupt anywhere within a few hours to a few days. The country is currently setting the stage for emergency evacuation.

Thousands took to the street today in Haiti in an Anti-Government protest
Frustrations are high in Haiti as protestors swarmed the streets in thousands against the Haitian government’s inability to meet the basic needs of its people, resolve long-standing human rights problems, and addressing humanitarian crises.
Citizens are accusing the government of supporting gangs in order to remain in power and are demanding that the President step down. However, President Jovenel Moïse, refuses to step down. “I am not a dictator.” He said, “My term ends February 7, 2022.”

Throughout social media videos and memes have been circulating about a young lady, Tessica Brown, a 40-year-old native of Lousiana, who glued her hair down with Gorilla Glue because her Got to be Glue hair spray had “run out” in the midst of her styling her hair. Brown stated that she likes to ensure that her hair is laid so she quickly grabbed the Gorilla Glue to finish her hairstyle, unaware of the grave mistake she was about to make.
Brown regrettably posted a video on TikTok warning person from making the same mistake she did. Many have dragged her for it, many have shown empathy and concern, and many have accused her of seeking fame, but Brown has been seriously traumatized over the incident and was in desperate need of help. It appeared the incident was a genuine error filled with great regret.
She stated that she expected to just be able to wash it out, but weeks after when she attempted to remove the product, she realized the grave mistake. She added that she washed her hair about 15 times with no success.

Police Brutality in the Small Twin Island Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis
There has been much outrage around the globe regarding police brutality within the United States, but what about police brutality within our own Caribbean islands?
On Friday February 6, 2021 onlookers recorded as police degraded and brutalized a young man on the island of Nevis, sister island in the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis. The video shared here shows the police officer standing on the back of the young man while he laid in the drain with his face down in the grimy drain water. The officer proceeded, while still standing on his back, to command the young man to place his hands behind his back, while using one of his feet to direct him as to which hand, he should move. The officer proceeded to threaten the onlooker that was video taping and could be heard saying “this is how ar’ you does get ar’ you self in trouble”, meaning “this is how you end up getting in trouble”. The onlooker then steps back to avoid being further reprimanded. During this dilemma, the young man in the drain can be heard saying “I can’t breathe”.
This type of brutal force is unnecessary, degrading, and abusive and it destroy the integrity of the police force. The Royal St. Christopher (St. Kitts) & Nevis Police Force remain tight-lipped on the matter and it has raised outrage in the citizens there. The government of St. Kitts & Nevis are yet to speak out on the matter. The Caribbean Alert will bring more as the story develops.
