Friends & Countrymen -
My new book on neoliberalism, "Invisible Doctrine" - a collaboration with the wonderful & brilliant George Monbiot - comes out via Penguin Books in the US on June 4.
It's based upon the premise that if you want to change things, you'd best understand the forces that drive & define them. The folks at Penguin UK say they've already had to reprint the book 5 times - and it doesn't even hit UK book stores until tomorrow!!! Amazing.
Pre-sales are crucial, since they all count agains the the first week of sales - so please, if you're considering picking this one up in the US, think about doing so before June 4th (the below link will take you there).
Here's what people are saying about it:
"This is the book we have been waiting for."
– Ingrid Robeyns, Chair Ethics of Institutions, Utrecht University
"Explosive and beautifully told … these truths can set us free."
– Danny Dorling, Halford Mackinder Prof of Geography, Oxford
"This book is dynamite – shining a spotlight on the evils of neoliberalism, shattering the myth that ‘there is no alternative’, and laying the foundations for a new politics."
– Caroline Lucas, Member of British Parliament
"This book made my blood boil! It tells the infuriating truth about the destructive ideas that have captured politics for a generation and ripped the heart out of our societies."
—Richard Wilkinson, UK public intellectual
