I am presently thinking about food. While I am out running errands, I will get something good. I count this restaurant out, here in this picture. I never did buy this dish at this restaurant. I want it, but I called once to get the price and decided that they were asking too much for one crab and fries. I will let y'all know what I eventually get, and at which restaurant. 🙂

I was depressed after the Pelicans lost in the first game of the playoff series. However, I got an email reminding me that I won my bet. The Pelicans were a 9-1/2 point underdog, but they lost by only two points. So, I won my bet.

On the Sunday night before Mardi Gras, I was with 2 of my sisters (one shown here) and one of my nieces (r) on Louisiana Ave. for a Super Bowl party and the Bacchus Parade. There was mucho fine food.

I watch LSU women's gymnasts on TV b/c the Tigers are one of the top teams in the country. As of Feb. 26, LSU's women's gymnastics team was ranked second in the NCAA's Women's Gymnastics rankings. LSU's Angel Reese (L) in basketball and Olivia Dunne (R) in gymnastics have both gone viral as leaders of their teams. I also tune into LSU's basketball teams (men and women) for the same reasons. I of course happily watch the Tigers' football team whenever they are broadcast on TV.

Will the Saints keep QB Jameis Winston? I hope! See comments for more words on why I like Jameis Winston. Meanwhile, I predict that the Saints go 10-7 or 11-6 in the 2024 season; and win 2 playoff games. Of course, I have to see their schedule first. However, if they have a reasonable schedule, I see the Saints making the playoffs. BTW, their division foes (Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay) will play excellent ball also; and compete excitingly to win the division. In the picture here, someone had predicted the combatants for this month's K.C. vs. Frisco Feb. 11th Super Bowl. It is too early for me to predict the combatants in the next Super Bowl which is in New Orleans. My early, dream scenario is K.C. vs. New Orleans.

The way I made banana fritters this morning was not like the old days. So, I looked up and found a fine recipe that I will use next time:
Instructions
Mash bananas. Add brown sugar, vanilla, extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. Sift in flour and stir with spoon. Drop banana fritter batter in hot oil by the spoonful. Cook and flip until both sides are browned.
Remove fritters and drain on paper towels. Enjoy! I left out some of the ingredients for "modern" health reasons. ❤

Then, I heard that ATL is talking to Bill Belichic as their next coach. UPDATE: ATL hired RAMS def. coor. as their new head coach.

What did I decide? I wanted to say that I am studying the verse from the Scriptures that led me to say that I walk today by faith and not by sight. This is my New Year's resolution for all year.
