Objet d'Art

As we approach the middle (July 2nd) of this eventful 2016 year, I've had some musing on life and balance:

Every view is different. Every truth is relative. Every experience is altered, from past experiences and your state of mind, to the very angle you happen to be experiences something from and whom you experience it with.

We as thinking, rational creatures tend to forget that from the moment we are born, we are human. We are only later learn that we are of a colour, religion, sexuality, nation, gender, ethnic group, team, family, community, etc.

This is a collection of songs that speak to me lately. They follow my moods, and complete my thoughts. Balanced on melody and rhythm, highs and lows, even and uneven rhythms, major and minor chords.

This mix is for people who desire balance; for people who understand that life is more complex than darkness and light.

We have a very special DJ Cafe for you guys this week... Jeff Walker aka Nightmare who has represented the WWK, as well as Bass Massive Productions, will be leaving for Seattle Monday morning. This Cafe will be his last time to gather with us before he leaves and continues his journey elsewhere. Lets all come together and celebrate our times with him just as these artist have come together to celebrate as well!!!! Not only is this a gathering of talented individuals but it is also a gathering of people who took the time to collab with others on the same stage. So to add into the collaborations this sunday for a once in a lifetime (potentially more chances in the future) DJ Tech and Nightmare with be doing a back to back tag set!!!!

Masquerade 20 - Live in Pensacola 4/15

I'm sorry for the delay!

This is real rave music! This is the kind of music that should be played in dark abandoned warehouses or large unused storage buildings, lit by laser light shows and projected images, muddled by a fog machine. This is the kind of music to lose yourself to.

This recording was from, by far, the best show I've played to date. I was asked last minute to drive out 2.5 hours to play an underground old school rave. What I thought was going to be a little gathering, turned out to be a massive of 500+ old school 90's ravers. It shocked me how into the music these clubbers were, most older than myself by a good measure.

If only the kids in the clubs today could get to experience a show like that. There would be a change in appreciation for the music over "the industry." A boy can wish~
