This post hurts. I know Dave meant so much to a lot of people, but for me he was more than just a co worker and friend, he was my mentor. Words honestly can’t describe what he means to me but I’ll try anyway. Dave taught me the right way, not the easy. Something I’m more grateful for now. He taught me a craft that has provided for me and my family, something I never could have repaid him for. He gave his time to me and to anyone that needed it, and he always did it with a smile. If you knew Dave, you know how much he loved his job. Rightfully so because he was one of the best out there. I’m forever grateful for the time we shared together, and as I teach the next generation of jib ops, I’ll do it exactly how he taught me. Love you Brother, rest easy
