A boil water advisory is now in effect. Please use bottled water for drinking and consumption. If using tap water, boil it for at least one minute to kill any harmful viruses or bacteria. Use boiled water to wash food, counters, or any surfaces that may lead to ingestion of pathogens.
Children and those with weakened immune systems are most vulnerable. If you experience diarrhea for more than 3 days, have a fever, or notice blood in your stool, see your doctor immediately. Avoid dehydration by drinking rehydration fluids and bottled water. Remember to discard the ice in your ice maker for 3 cycles.
๐ง How to Properly Boil Water:
1. If tap water is cloudy, let it settle and strain through a clean cloth, paper towel, or coffee filter.
2. Hold water at a rolling boil for at least one minute.
3. Let water cool before drinking or storing.
๐ Clean Drinking Water Uses:
* Drinking
* Making ice (discard any potentially contaminated ice)
* Brushing teeth
* Preparing baby formula, food, and drinks
* Giving pets water
