Meet Paul Gallant and Lynn Felici-Gallant, founders of New Milford's Paul's Custom Pet Food! The heartwarming and powerful backstory: Paul Gallant and Lynn Felici-Gallant, founders of Paul's Custom Pet Food, started their business in 2010 after their Golden Retriever, Hunter, was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. Faced with the difficult decision of opting for traditional treatment, they chose an alternative approach recommended by a friend. They consulted Dr. Hannah Wells, a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, who prescribed a diet of cool and neutral whole foods, along with Chinese herbal medicines, to help fight the cancer. This diet, prepared by Paul and Lynn, allowed Hunter to live for over 10 years, far exceeding his initial prognosis. Hunter passed away in 2019 at nearly 13 years old. In his memory, Paul and Lynn remain dedicated to making fresh, wholesome food for pets, continuing the journey that began with their beloved Hunter.
