Hypertrophic Press is a microscopic independent press that publishes both books and a quarterly literary magazine. We want to make you think.

Our goal as a publisher is to put out books that evoke a physical reaction in our readers. We want to make you cry, cringe, scream, gasp, and laugh. We want to make you feel. But these kinds of books don’t happen every day. Because of that, we don’t have a set publishing schedule. We don’t guarantee a number of books a year. We only publish books that we absolutely can’t say no to, that grab us an

d hurt us and don’t let go, and we’re willing to wait for them. We do everything in-house: editing, design, layout, marketing – you name it. It takes a lot of time and patience to create these products from scratch, but it’s our passion. And that’s the key word of Hypertrophic Press: passion. We don’t discriminate against any genres or lengths or backgrounds when coming up with our list. We don’t care who you are, if you’ve been published before, if it’s your first book or seventy-fourth. What we do care about is that you are just as passionate about writing your book as we are about publishing it.
