MY DIL TOOK MY CAR WITHOUT PERMISSION AT NIGHT AND CRASHED IT—I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I FOUND OUT WHERE SHE HAD GONE.
ME: You had no right to take my car without asking, especially in the middle of the night!
DIL: What’s the big deal? You’re not even using it!
ME: You could’ve at least let me know! And how are we supposed to fix it now? Also, where were you even going at night while my son’s out of town!?
DIL: That’s none of your business! And don’t even start with me about money. I’m not paying a dime just because your junker has bad brakes!
Honestly, I was on the edge of losing it and saying something nasty to her! But karma did its thing. Right at that moment, my phone rang — it was my son.
