NEW BRAUNFELS – Quickly becoming the go-to when it comes to getting people together for social bonding, the brothers of the New Braunfels (TX) Alumni Chapter (NBAC) were honored to host the 2025 Cluster III meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn New Braunfels.
The Cluster, comprised of nine chapters, gathers annually to discuss fraternal business approaches and community service ventures. Additionally, the membership received pressing correspondence including updates from both the Grand Chapter and Southwest Province.
This year’s guest speaker, Brother Maurice West, Dallas (TX) Alumni Chapter, offered words of encouragement and brotherhood. As a token of appreciation, Bro. West was gifted a cowboy hat by the brothers of NBAC. The excitement caused by the gift was on full display as Bro. West clapped loudly as soon as Bro. Kirk A. Reed, NBAC Polemarch opened the hat box and removed the newly shaped hat to place it on his head.
The brothers enjoyed the meeting, and as always, seemed to embrace when the Cluster gets together for fellowship and business. Bro. Reed was pleased with this year’s meeting and the work the brothers put into its success. “This year’s cluster meeting was a powerful testament to the strength, unity, and purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in Central and South Texas,” said Reed. “The meeting reinforces our collective commitment to achievement, leadership, and community impact.”
“The meeting catalyzed greater collaboration, strategic growth, and a renewed dedication to uplifting our communities. Additionally, our Cluster III nominations were voted on, solidifying the leadership that will guide us forward. A significant highlight was the installation of our Very Brother Scott as the new Cluster III Coordinator, ensuring that our presence and influence in the region continue to grow and thrive."
To provide time for Cluster members to unwind, NBAC hosted an R&B Kickoff on Friday, a Rep Your Colors party on Saturday, and their monthly mental health awareness program, Healing Us on Sunday morning.
NBAC’s area of responsibility (AOR) is over 575 mi² with a population, according to data from the 2022 census, of 184,642. NBAC strives to be a community service leader in its AOR and a tried-and-true example of achievement in every field of human endeavor.
