An important part of our mental strength is to learn how to accept things we cannot change. I like to tell people this quote. “Acceptance doesn’t mean you have to like it or agree with it.” How fitting is this sentiment for 2020.
💕Be sure to follow for inspiration on ultimate self-care which is how to treat our bodies and minds with the compassion we all deserve.
Once we accept things or circumstances beyond our control, we can then figure out our next thoughtful step which might be to feel, vent, problem solve, cope, pivot, etc.
There is freedom in meeting yourself where you are. It can help you focus on what you really need to do and help conserve energy instead of focusing on things you have no control over.
