MY HUSBAND LOVES TO GRILL.
Me, not so much, unless I can do it on the stovetop.
Oh, before we talk about grilling, let me tell you about something that happened a couple of years ago.
One Thursday I came home from my day job and hubby was already home. (Which isn't all that unusual.) He said...
"Let's go to Iceland!"
Don't you love that kind of spontaneity?
Me: "Sounds great! But aren't the tickets there really expensive?"
Hubby: "No, they're on special right now. Only catch is, we have to go this weekend to get the special rate."
Me: "This weekend? You mean like... tomorrow?"
My mind was racing with questions about what to pack.
Hubby: "No, now. Our flight leaves at 7pm."
Me: "Uhhh..."
A few hours later I was sitting in the plane at Minneapolis watching other planes come and go before the overseas leg of our trip. And I remembered...
I didn't bring a coat!
Oh, well, I thought. I'll buy one there. It will probably be warmer than any coat that's sufficient for the few cold days in Nashville. I assumed it would be unbearably cold in Iceland. After all... *ICE*. Land.
And then we were in Reykjavik, Iceland.
If you ever get a chance to go there, do it. The coat you wear in the States will be good enough for Iceland. It wasn't nearly as cold as I expected.
The only thing that bothered me at all was that for the 3 days we were there, I rarely knew whether it was night or day. Not that it really mattered.
