Ok... I'm a bit fed up with the attitude of some preachers towards live streaming the church service and saying it is not doing more than just glamorizing the pastor or church status. Saying it does nothing to "feed" the people.

A little church in Smyrna TN live streamed a revival service for several weeks,... one night after the service a man wrote in that he had actually watched services via the internet stream. He told of his life before and a new life he was facing due to the fact he had accepted Christ as his Savior that night during the live stream. The church was able to reach out to a local church in his area, again, via an internet connection and they were able to continue ministry to him,.... the man was in Sweden. If a church decides to do a live stream and I hope many will, not just on Facebook, but via websites like the church in Smyrna did, they have a responsibility to do more than just turn on the camera. You have to communicate to the audience that is watching as well. Some can't be in the physical service due to sickness or work. Some have been hurt by the church. As a man who owns a livestream company that deals only with ministries and churches, I am proud of the outreach we are doing. Last year we had over 550,000 people watch live streams. If one person comes to know Christ through those streams we are setting the table,... it's the church's job to feed the sheep. It's time to think outside the walls of the building.

WOW! A couple of years ago I opened up a social media website similar to facebook, but it's primary focus was for ministries and singing groups, and fans of such. Today there are over 2100 members to the site! But all of the "members" are advertising something that is not related to the main subjects or focus of the site. It's a shame that people will complain about a huge site like this but keep using it instead of supporting on that is owned by Christians, operated by Christians, with a Christian focus! Check out southerngospeltoday.com and see what our "Christian" community has become? Disgusted.
