TSA Members and their guests gathered at the home of Irish Johnston for this year’s holiday party. After the Annual Meeting and election of new Board members and officers, all gathered for food, drinks, fellowship, and party games. There was much to celebrate as 2024 saw some of the largest membership growth and engagement in many years. Thanks to Irish and her husband Will for hosting this year’s gathering!

Working from a Halloween/horror theme, dozens of writers from the Tennessee Screenwriting Association competed for a trophy, a prize package that included Final Draft 13, and the bragging rights for the scariest short script in 2024!

The winner of the contest is Mike Bentley for his short script "Gray Hare." Mike was given the award by Alvaro Rodriguez ("Machete," "From Dusk Till Dawn 3") at the Script-Com Screenwriters Conference in Nashville, TN.

Script-Com continued at the NECAT Network studio on Sunday with a taping of TSA's "Page 2 Screen" with Alvaro Rodriguez, followed by the "Hot Damn! Chili Cookoff" which was won by TSA president David Deverell.
Then the lights dimmed for the Renegade Independent Film Festival featuring films by TSA members.
Thanks to all our guests and attendees for making Script-Com an incredible event! We will continue to post photos and videos over the next few weeks.
