Things I saw this morning when leaving the camper to head to work.
A beautiful sunrise over the water ✔️
A buck cross the driveway in front of me ✔️
A big ole Tom turkey not realizing he should hide the day before Thanksgiving. ✔️
I even got the Tom to call back to me a few times and was able to record one of them.

Check out Discovery Bound RV video they released tonight. I was able to hang out with them when they were passing through Nashville recently. Phetsamay Gleaves was out of town hiking at the time so unfortunately she missed them this trip. Hopefully we get to see them again soon.

Was able to get out after work last night and do some bank fishing right from our campsite. Bass were in a feeding frenzy off and on for about 30 minutes. I caught 4 largemouth bass and two hybrid bass during that time. Then like a switch they stopped or moved on. They were all in the 1-2 pound range. What a great time and lots of fun. That was the best bass fishing I have had in several years. A couple of the catches were back to back.

Beautiful Destin West RV Resort in Ft. Walton, FL. We’re in site 39 which is a waterfront site that overlooks the bay.

View out of our window for the next week at our favorite RV Resort in Destin. Waterfront site overlooking the bay. Glad the hurricane is staying east of us by a little bit but we’re getting some strong wind gusts coming off the water. After tomorrow afternoon/night things should settle down.

Enjoyed our time at Crab Island in Destin, FL and wishing we were still there. The water was beautifully crystal clear and a perfect temperature. If you ever visit the area be sure to rent a pontoon and get out to experience and enjoy it for a day. We stayed at our favorite RV resort while we were there. Looking forward to visiting again soon in a couple of months.

Middle TN experienced severe weather Wednesday afternoon and throughout the night. We are currently camping in a Corp. of Engineers campground on Percy Priest Lake. The water level rose significantly overnight (today is Friday) due to the ground water, streams and rivers that flow into it. They aren’t releasing water at the dam because the Cumberland River is currently above flood level. They don’t want to experience again what happened here in 2010 that caused downtown Nashville to become submerged. Luckily the RV that was in that site moved sometime last night before it got too high.
