Throwback to last weekend at the February Music City Stitchers sewing club meetup. Also was my mom’s first time coming to a club meetup and to quote her “that was SO MUCH FUN!” 🥰

I made some core memories that day sewing next to my mom surrounded by the sweetest local sewing friends and I’ll never forget it. 🩷

I get asked all the time for tips on how to start a sewing club in your local community so I made a video sharing all the details of how (Jennifer) and I found each other and made this club happen. We share what has worked for us and lessons learned along the way. You can create this in your area but it does take some work and determination.

Today I’m working on implementing my goals I set for this year into a strategic plan by outlining the steps I need to reach my goal and breaking those down to monthly, weekly and even daily activities I need to do to get to my end goal.

While it might seem like a lot it really is critical to stay focused, not fall behind and ultimately hit those big goals!

I’ve got some big and some small goals this year. One is to finish a giant FPP quilt. As a whole it intimidating to do all the work but when I break it down I really only need to do 2 blocks per month. Now it doesn’t seem so daunting.

The key is the block time to work on your goals which is why I opted for a physical planner just for my goal tracking and content creation this year.

Life gets busy… don’t let it distract you from what’s most important to you. 🩷

One of my goals this year is to do more FPP sewing! 🧵

What is FPP? It stands for Foundation Paper Piecing and it’s basically sew by number just like paint by number. It’s so much fun! 🎨

🎄 Of course I made my mom and I matching shirts for the Christmas Eve service tonight 🕯️

The shirt is from Amazon and I just added the embroidered side seams. 🎀 Bows for me and 🎄trees for mom!

After baking up the most adorable gingerbread men I had to bake them some houses too! 👩‍🍳

And by bake I mean embroider! 🪡
I think embroidery on felt might just be one of my favorite things.

Another fun in-the hoop ornament design from that stitched up beautifully!

My Pfaff Creative Icon 2 was running all day and is such a beautiful workhorse of a machine. I love it so much! ❤️

These ornaments might be the most adorably delicious things I’ve ever made! 🎄

This design was detailed with lots of colors but the in-the-hoop project came together so well that I’ve already started to “bake another batch” on my embroidery machine! 👩‍🍳
