We have received many questions and concerns about inland storm surge flooding, which can be very confusing.

When a map shows storm surge at the coast, it's measured from sea level. This estimate is only accurate at the water's edge (on the beach).

To determine inland flooding levels:

1. Note the storm surge height in your location
2. Subtract your ground or home's finished floor elevation
3. The result is the potential flooding above ground level

Example: If your home is at 7 feet elevation and the surge is 9 feet, you may experience up to 2 feet.

Color-Coded Inland Maps:

Some news stations, like ABC-7 and Wink, provide color-coded maps for inland areas landward of the beach. These maps show elevation above ground, already accounting for local topography.

Both silver and gold medals needed to be incorporated into the design. The final product is an understated yet impactful coastal palette, perfectly tailored to complement the laid-back, refined lifestyle synonymous with Southwest Florida. Tye welcomes partnering with homeowners and builders to transform spaces into unique, serene havens that reflect personal taste and regional charm.

Clive Daniel Home opened its Fort Myers showroom on October 5, 2023, marking the award-winning design firm’s fourth location. “At 48,000 square-feet, our Fort Myers showroom is a true jewel box,” said Daniel Lubner, CEO of Clive Daniel Home. “It’s a beautiful space, and we hope it will deliver endless inspiration and resources to our guests.”

Daniel and his father, Clive Lubner — Clive Daniel Home’s chairman — are longtime Fort Myers residents, having been connected to the area since 1978. Fort Myers is also the location of Clive Daniel Home’s warehouse and corporate office, so the location is a natural fit for the company’s continued expansion.

“Rather than concealing a well-designed wine room out of sight, the idea is to celebrate and integrate it into the main area, bringing warmth and hospitality into luxury homes.” Bonura Jr. shares.

This wine room is visible from the adjacent spaces, stores nearly 1,000 bottles on a metal and walnut rack system by Millesime Wine Racks and is temperature-controlled by Wine Guardian. Its concept comes from one of Bonura Jr.’s commercial projects, Blu Pointe in New York, where the wine room is viewable from different vantage points. The wine room and foyer feature matching finishes for a
cohesive aesthetic, while the backlit wine rack is a captivating visual.

A breakfast nook can be the coziest spot in a house 🌟

Laurie Walter, Residential Designer and President of Cardamon Design, states, "It’s always great in design when you can add different elements, and we loved the idea of a concrete table instead of all the tables in the home being wooden,” noting this concrete table from Four Hands. Above the table is a chandelier from Currey & Company in a silver granello finish that offers a distinct contrast to the nearby prep island fixture from Hudson Valley and the pendants by Troy Lighting.

💙Monday Blues | This beautiful cabana bathroom and kitchen has all of the blues the client loves and are included in the cabana’s color scheme, including in the hand-pieced glass mosaic tile from Artistic Tile used in the bath, the fun turquoise of the Smeg refrigerator, the Phillip Jeffries grasscloth backsplash in the kitchen, and the subtle sky-blue paint treatment on the ceiling that ties all of the individual elements together. The blue even appears in the margarita maker — essential equipment for a poolside hangout
