Things have shuffled around a bit this cycle, the voting is still quite close, and our listenership has really exploded (Praise Jesus!) . We have yet another new #1 song to celebrate, the voting is highly competitive, and boy did you all vote! We have two new songs in the Top Five, and add to that, five new songs entering the chart. We set another voting record, and it’s affecting both the top and the bottom chart positions – Time to kick the tires and breakdown the ‘TOP 40 Chart Overview” & the ”Top Five - Closer Look” for SEPTEMBER 1, 2024!

TOP 40 CHART OVERVIEW – SEPTEMBER 1, 2024
Congratulations to Justin Warren/“See You Again” for moving into the #1 spot this cycle on God’s Music Today! Justin’s listenership is well established here, and they heeded the call. This makes “See You Again” Justin’s fourth #1 song on God’s Music Today’s Top 40 (Bravo!) - Avenue/“Talking To Jesus” literally did a poll-vault from the #5 spot to grab #2, and their fanbase also stepped up with the call to arms! SPARK/“I Found Myself” lost a little footing moving to #3! It certainly wasn’t because their fans slacked off, not at all! We feel there are several reasons for this happening, 14 weeks on the chart being one, combine that with SPARK being new to our listeners, and just timing. Any way you look at it, SPARK has done awesome considering this is their first single with God’s Music Today! BUT don’t fret, as SPARK has a new single just released entitled “Come Back Shining”, and that could be prophetic! Breaking into the Top Five at #4 this cycle is Chris McQuistion/”I Got Joy (Brand New Day)”. This is Chris’s first time in the Top Five here on God’s Music Today and we welcome him into the club. rounding out our Top Five is Justin Gambino/”A Father’s Heart”, this song is a fan favorite, and folks are really loving it as it has been highly commented! So many shades of Justin now exist, as he has now taken this beautiful & poignant ballad and delivered it with such remarkable sincerity. Avenue/”Talking To Jesus decided to say, “goodbye to #5” and propelled themselves all the way to the #2 position this cycle. No one here was surprised with that, because this song is so super popular with listeners. So much so that “Talking To Jesus” garnered the “Top International Vote” and they appear to be building a following in both Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries. With that said, some folks still can’t get over that this is the same group that has had massive success in the Southern Gospel music market! SPARK/”I Found Myself” lost some footing this cycle moving one point to #3. As we mentioned in the overview, we believe there are a few things that had a hand in the small drop. One in particular was that SPARK was up against two very well established and loved artists on God’s Music Today! Now SPARK has done amazing, especially considering this is the first single we’ve ever played by them. We will reiterate that the voting remained very close with the Top 3 songs & that says a lot for SPARK and the traction they built. In fact, SPARK’s fan-base has grown, and so have the votes. Let’s take a look at the journey “I Got Joy (Brand New Day)” took to get to the #5 spot – The song entered the chart on the June 1st at #37 – on the June 15th chart the song took a +10-point jump to #27 – Come July 1st the song had caught fire and jumped another +13-points to #14 - on the July 15th chart the song took a modest move to #12, keeping in mind the charts were highly competitive at the time. On August 1st the song edged another 3 spots to #9 breaking the Top 10 - On the August 15th Chart, Chris moved another 3 spots to #6. Coming in at #5 this cycle, Justin Gambino/”A Father’s Heart” has moved a lot of folks as it rounds out the Top Five this cycle on God Music Today’s Top 40 - We always like to reflect back on a song to see the path it took on it’s journey into the Top Five. “A Father’s Heart” entered the Top 40 on the June 1st chart at #38 – June 15th chart we saw the song take a +12-point jump to the #26 spot. Moving another +11-points on the July 1st chart, took the song to #15. July 15th the highly competitive slow moving chart granted a slow move to #13. August 1st chart saw another small jump to #10. Another first for us here at God’s Music Today, as all the songs in the Top Five, actually stayed in the Top Five, they just did a bit of rearranging. We do however, have a new #1 song. Votes count, and all Five songs received a record number of votes and even in the final tabulation, all five were so incredibly close! So let’s take a look under the hood, here’s the ‘TOP 40 Chart Overview” & the ”Top Five - Closer Look” for AUGUST 15, 2024!

TOP 40 CHART OVERVIEW – AUGUST 15, 2024
Congratulations to Jordan St. Cyr/”My Foundation” as Jordon moved to the #1 position this cycle on God’s Music Today! The title cut from his brand new CD, “My Foundation” was at #2, and moving to the #1 spot wasn’t as easy as it sounds because very few points separated the entire Top Five! Moving up one point and coming in at #2 is SPARK/”I Found Myself”. “I Found Myself” is the first song we’ve ever played by the talented trio SPARK, and they have certainly held their own with some of our other God’s Music Today favorites, they obviously have become a favorite with our listeners as well. Also moving up one point to #3 is Justin Warren/”See you Again”. A thoughtful & reflective song that shows that Justin can deliver a great ballad. Again, it highlights the competitiveness of the votes. Falling to the #4 slot from 2 weeks @ #1 of course is Nicole Norton/”Don’t You Dare Give Up” – a beautifully delivered song of hope & courage written by Nicole Norton & Carli Lessing really drove the votes in. In this situation, sadly it was only the lack of a few votes that caused the song to move. Still holding quite defiantly at #5 is Avenue/”Talking To Jesus” – this song has had an incredible journey, only to be halted in place by the lack of a just a very few votes! The good news is there’s still time for all these songs, because absolutely anything can happen in this next cycle, the fans just need to be motivated & take heed. It’s only fair to mention that the voting for the remaining Top 10 was just as close, and that any of the Top 10 songs could vault into the Top Five, or even into the #1 spot, so get your peeps voting, as you can see, every vote counts, particularly now! One spot up to #3 is what Justin Warren/”See You Again” was able to accomplish to squeeze out this cycle. Considering how compact everything is, we applaud that. Justin Warren has a large following with our listeners here on God’s Music Today, and they are voting, Justin needs to pull some more votes out of the non-listeners to move to the top. Usually Justin is already there, it’s a bit tougher this round. Keeping in mind the entire Top 10 has a shot, so Justin fans need to answer the call! Justin Warren/”See You Again” captivated the “Top Commented” this cycle and that bodes well because folks are being moved by this song enough to write in. After spending a way too short 2 weeks at #1, Nicole Norton/”Don’t You Dare Give Up” has fallen to the #4 spot. Now in all fairness, the song lost its place by just a few votes. Actually all the songs in the Top Five, and even in the Top 10 are very close. It was amazing to us how close it all is. Nicole could easily move back up the chart. Even though “Don’t You Dare Give Up” fell a few spots, it still received a record setting vote count. Déjà-vu for Avenue/”Talking To Jesus” as the song is still holding at #5 this cycle. The issue is simple, Avenue also received a record setting amount of votes, and there were only a small amount of votes separating the “Top Five”, it is a tight and crowded Top Five, add to that the other four songs have been on the chart longer. The good news for Avenue is that they have only been on the chart for 8 weeks, so they have a lot of time to continue their surge forward, the excitement and momentum is in their favor. The tragedy this past week we all experienced in our Gospel Music family has affected all of us. We all have stories, whether we knew The Nelons personally or not, their music & ministry has touched millions. – The pain is still raw for us, the loss is very deep. And the tides continue to change cycle as again we have 3 new songs enter the Top 5, as well as a brand-new #1 song to celebrate! A lot of surprises in this Chart. TOP 40 CHART OVERVIEW – AUGUST 1, 2024

A big Congratulations to Nicole Norton/”Don’t You Dare Give Up” claims the #1 position this cycle on God’s Music Today! A beautiful & deserving song jumping from the #4 position to take #1 was quite impressive. This is Nicole Norton’s first #1 song with us here on God’s Music Today! We knew the song was moving up again, but #1 did surprise us, we felt it would get there, but maybe next cycle. In fact, the entire top five surprised us. We watched the previous #1 (Sanctus Real/”Victory”) actually fall to #6 (we did not expect that either!) – as we said, the voting was fierce! Jordan St Cyr/”My Foundation” jumped five spots from #7 to #2 , SPARK/”I Found Myself” took a two spot leap to #3 this cycle. We welcome Justin Warren back into the Top Five at #4 with his latest single “See You Again”, and the song by Avenue/”Talking To Jesus” surged up yet again into the #5 position in just 6 weeks. The Top Five songs were all very close, again making the voting this cycle our heaviest ever. Congrats to all! “Top Mover”: Our “Top Mover” this cycle went to Selah/”Rise Up”, last cycle’s “Top New Entry” with a +10-point jump from #34 to #24 – Amazingly, voting was so tight this round that Selah/”Rise Up” was the sole song that managed a +10 move, a first for us.

The “Top New Entry” this cycle belongs to Kevin Price/”Hope Walked In” entering at #35 - Kevin Price is a new artist for us and was able to catch our listeners attention immediately! – Five other artists found their way onto our Top 40 chart this cycle; Coming ever so close to being the “Top New Entry”, our listeners seem to be digging the sounds of Christian Country group Small Town Sunday/”Chasing You” debuting at ( #36) – Perry LaHaie/”Tears This Side Of Eden” broke through at ( #38) – Michael Lacey/”Witness” climbed onboard at ( #39) & the trio CAIN is back with another great offering “Never The Same” coming in at ( #40)

CONGRATULATIONS go out to Nicole Norton/”Don’t You Dare Give Up” as Nicole cleared the way to claim the #1 spot this cycle on God’s Music Today! We completely underestimated the swell of voter support that swept in this cycle and carried Nicole to #1. We knew the song’s momentum was quite strong and “Don’t You Dare Give Up” was going to hit #1 at some point, but we honestly thought it might come next cycle. The lesson here is, we have no idea what God has planned. Nicole Norton/”Don’t You Dare Give Up” took the “Top Total Votes” & Top International Votes” this cycle & carried the “Top Commented” over from last cycle. #2 Jordan St. Cyr/"My Foundation”
Making a five point jump to #2, Jordan St. Cyr/”My Foundation” practically did a flyover. Very popular from the onset, “My Foundation” entered God’s Music Today’s Top 40 as the “Top New Entry” at #30 on the June 1st 2024 chart. June 15th chart show Jordan St. Cyr moving to the #23 spot. The July 1st chart saw the song take a +12- point jump to the #11 position. Still gaining a lot of momentum, the July 15th chart moved “My Foundation” into the Top Ten at #7 – and finally on today’s chart August 1st 2024 shows the song blasting through to the #2 position. Jordan St. Cyr/”My Foundation” also garnered the “Top Domestic Votes (USA)” this cycle. Obviously Jordan St. Cyr is a mainstay in the Christian music world bringing us top notch material for years. “My Foundation” is the title cut to Jordan’s brand-new CD release, available everywhere! Moving another two points to the #3 spot this cycle, SPARK/”I Found Myself” has dug in for the long haul. If we could express how competitive and tight the voting has been, you might fully understand how hard it is for an artist to hold on in the Top Five, not alone move up. SPARK seems to have found big favor with our listeners. SPARK/”I Found Myself” entered our chart back on May 15th at #38 – By the June 1st chart they took an impressive +14-point surge to #24 – when the June 15th chart cycle posted, SPARK had taken another +11-point leap to #13 – Things got a bit tougher as they approached the Top 10, but on the July 1st chart they broke through at #9 – The excitement continued to build leading to the July 15th chart where they moved another +4-points into the Top Five at #5. Today, SPARK is still pressing forward and holding strong, now occupying the #3 position. Coming in at #4 this cycle Justin Warren/”See You Again” has once again showed Justin Warren’s popularity & musical versatility. Justin’s fanbase didn’t think twice about voting for this song, though Justin does face some very strong competitors hanging in the Top Five, so this is not the time to relax if you want to see this song move to the top spot. Justin Warren is one of our most popular artists here on God’s Music Today, having had three #1 songs “For The Glory Of God”, “Mile Marker 22” & “Come Back Home” – “See You Again” could be the forth one. Surging four spots to the #5 spot this cycle Avenue/”Talking To Jesus.” Avenue has had quite a remarkable ride with this release. Avenue is definitely not strangers to God’s Music Today’s listeners, we’ve been playing them for quite a while now, and they’ve had high charting songs “It Takes Jesus” & “New Name Written Down In Glory” and have become favorites – They are quite diverse to say the least, as both of the previous mention songs were #1 songs on our sister station Simply Southern Gospel – So, Avenue decided to spread their wings and explore the CCM world a bit more, they wrote and recorded “Talking To Jesus”, if you didn’t know it was Avenue, you wouldn’t have been able to guess – all we know is our listeners immediately loved it! Let’s quickly review this amazing journey up the chart: Avenue/”Talking To Jesus” entered our June 15th 2024 Chart at #37 – Then on the July 1st, 2024 chart “Talking To Jesus” was our “Top Mover” taking an amazing +17-point mega leap to the #20 position. Come July 15th 2024 chart cycle the momentum just kept going as Avenue/Talking To Jesus” took yet another +11-point jump forward to the #9 spot.
