Are you ready to solve some of the toughest problems in retail product discovery with a talented cross-functional team? Lumi Minds Inc is Chicago based IT software solution company that is looking for tenacious engineers with deep expertise in product search and cloud-native design patterns to join our growing engineering team! You’ll be responsible for building the engine that will power the next generation of our eCommerce search experience. The ideal candidate has previous experience or exposure to large-scale retail customer search and discovery experiences and the technologies that power them. You’ll be collaborating regularly with other smart engineers, product managers, designers, merchandisers, and stakeholders distributed across the U.S to invent the performant, reliable, secure, and valuable future of search to delight our millions of online retail customers. A passion for gaming is a plus!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Candidates with some subset of the experience listed are encouraged to apply
· Excellent modern Java programming skills and experience with the AWS SDK for Java
· Experience building RESTful web services in Java with Spring Boot and Gradle
· Deep experience and proficiency with a mix of: Java8 or Java11, Springboot, Microservices, Restful API’s, Linux, Git, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL
· Strong bias for action, sense of ownership and customer focus and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment
· A test-driven mindset and approach to building durable solutions
· Familiarity with modern DevOps best practices, CI/CD, deployment automation, cloud-native infrastructure patterns & tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes.
· Experience with modern observability and telemetry best practices, patterns, and tools
· Solid Linux command line proficiency
· Sharp systems troubleshooting and debugging skills
· Experience with message queues, event streams, data feeds, event buses and/or notifications
· Any experience building systems with semantic search, concept search, or neural search
· Familiarity with natural language processing and information retrieval concepts
· Familiarity with NoSQL databases and graph database concepts
· Familiarity with ReactJS or Angular
· Proficiency with traditional relational (SQL) database technologies
· Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· Any experience with GCP or Azure will be plus
Working Hours
6 pm to 3 am PST or 7 pm to 4 am PST

Attractive salary package
15% to 30% annual increment
10%-20% performance bonus ( semiannual )
