Full disclosure: The holidays are exhausting! Can I get an AMEN?! Seriously, though, I've just had to step back from some things lately and posting on here is one of them. I get tired of the being strapped to FB and the junk/pressure they put on well, everything. Ya, I said it. Life is more than social media and sometimes you have to step back if only for a few days. So, I scrolled Instagram this morning (I see the glares of irony in that statement, but nothing was expected from my end) and watched Reels for an hour....did I have work to do? Yup, and I still did it.

I have been busting it for several months and I'm just tired so I made a pumpkin pie yesterday and decided to have my 3rd piece (the husband does not know, till now, that is exists and I have now had three pieces ;). I chilled the bowl/wisk in the freezer to make REAL WHIPPED CREAM as it's the only way to go. I used my freebie KitchenAid as it was used my a local baker and she literally busted out the dough hook part of it...so I could not make bread with it and have just used my bread machine to mix instead.

As I was getting ready to make a post for today, and my BRAND NEW KitchenAid arrived at my door! Tears of excitement that it actually was delivered! Seriously, I was expecting to make another phone call to the little Indiana feller at FedEX expecting it to have been lost in the mail. Something about a label not being able to be read, but it has been on a truck to Muncie from Kokomo since last Thursday and came from GA just fine. Go figure. (insert eye roll here).

Any hoozle, my point is this: sit down, relax for a few and eat your slice of pie while watching silly, crazy funny reels on Insta. You have permission & you're welcome.

This last Saturday was Small Business and we had a booth setup at Premiere's Christmas Market here in Muncie. So much work goes into such an endeavor and I couldn't have done it without the help of my fantastic support crew! There were amazing.

My husband was the muscle as usual, our daughter and son-in-law provided snacks/drinks, the local grands showed up being their cute little selves as usual and a sweet friend who has been such a blessing to us in so many ways!

The loyal supporters of what I do are also so very important and that means You, who are reading this now. Those who show up and engage here on this page, the loyal customers who came out on Saturday...all are important and want to THANK YOU ALL for your encouragement and support over the last few years.
I greatly appreciate each and every one of you. 🥰

I have each of the grandkids one night of the week Monday through Thursday. Thursday is Emma‘s crafty time. She painted a wooden ornament from Hobby Lobby and stenciled for the first time. I think she did an excellent job! #kidsactivities #kidscrafting #kidsart #kidsartclass #christmasornaments

This is how I bulk cut door hangers with a jigsaw. I stacked three 4’ x 4’ revolution plywood and clamped them down on all four sides. Then I took my jigsaw and cut out all 15 in just over an hour. I still had room left for a 20 inch stack of three to make 18 signs total. Bam! Lydia is one of my grandchildren who comes over and has arts/crafts with me one night a week Monday through Thursday for each of the 4 children. Lydia is on Monday, but got bumped back due to scheduling conflicts. Anyway, her day was Wednesday this week and she wanted to paint a mermaid handprint on paper. I’m working on samples for the show and Lydia wanted to make her own to take home. She does such a good job with her painting! it’s so much fun watching the kids grow as they get older and build their painting/drawing skills. I’m getting ready for a craftshow in town next month and I’ve cut over 200, 7-3/4 inch round wood blanks to offer Christmas handprint ornaments at #premierschristmasmarket here in Muncie on the 30th. Monday is Ms. Lydia’s day to craft with Nana while her sister is at dance class. Today she wanted to draw a lion so she finds a YouTube video she likes and I assist her, if she asks, by drawing the details out on her paper with a stylus and she traces those lines on her own. Painting some O Holy Night angel ornaments today. The only tools I used to make these are my scroll saw and sander so you don’t need fancy equipment to make something cute. I drew this design out in procreate, but you can draw this out on card stock and transfer to quarter inch plywood if you don’t have an iPad. How to make your own circles when you need a lot! I had some questions about how I make my circles and this video explains it. The only thing it’s missing is the initial three layers of 4 foot quarter inch plywood that I clamped down and took a jigsaw and cut them all out. I purchased three 4 x 8‘ sheets at Lowe’s of quarter inch Revolution ply and had them cut them in half for me. Brought them home put three layers of 4 x 4 foot sheets clamped down and jigsawed them out. I did that twice and it equaled 216 rounds.
