The town of Sumas on the Canadian border with Abbotsford BC has declared a civil emergency as the main downtown core and surrounding neighborhoods flood as nearby rivers overflow. 20 years ago today on 9/11 the nation was under attack. Two planes struck tower 1 & 2 at the World Trade Center in New York City, One plane struck the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia and one plane heading to the U.S. Capitol was over taken by the passengers on the aircraft and crashed in a empty field in Shanksville Pennsylvania. 2,977 individuals lost their lives that day and more than 6,000 we’re injured.
20 years later the nation is still united in unity in the remembrance of the 2,977 individuals who were fathers, mothers, parents, grandparents, siblings, and children who were taken from this world too soon.

Check out this video from @WSDOT from Blewett Pass US-97. WSDOT said twice a year drivers will experience b-a-a-a-cked up traffic as ranchers gather their sheep 🐑 and cross the highway. WSDOT helps the ranchers by closing the freeway to prevent members of the herd getting lost and so no animals or people get hurt in the process.
MAGNITUDE 7.1 EARTHQUAKE SHAKES MEXICAN CITY OF ACAPULCO
DEVELOPING: 7.1-MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE shakes the coastal city of Acapulco in southern Mexico. Reports now say the quake has so far taken the life of one individual in Guerrero state with strong shaking swaying skyscrapers reported as far as Mexico City 247 miles away.
When the quake initially started, Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said in a video Tuesday night that there were no reports of deaths and that the damage appeared limited. There were rock slides near Acapulco, he said.

Here’s a look inside Ephrata’s United Methodist Church after fire crews extinguished the flames. We got a chance to speak with Pastor Donald Dunn and said many from the Ephrata community have been asking about ways they can help the church. Hartline and Almira fire departments find 70-year-old man who wandered from home.
Video footage from the Grant County Sheriff's Office's drone captured the moments when a 70-year-old Hartline man was found by volunteers from the Hartline and Almira fire departments. According to the sheriff's office, the older gentleman suffers from dementia and wandered away from his home around 1:30 a.m. Monday. The man was not injured and was returned home.
