It’s been a very successful year for snowfall here along the Grand Strand and P*e Dee. Year to date we’ve measured more snowfall that Western NC, Upstate and Midlands.

I captured this a little earlier in North Myrtle Beach. Pretty heavy snow burst.

What a winter for the Grand Strand. Two minor snow/sleet/ice events and one, once in a decade snow event.

It has been a true legit winter, first time in at least 5 years.

This meteorologist is happy!! Now I think it’s time to turn the heat on outside!

1/29/25 3:06 pm - The #CrookedCreek fire continues to grow and rapidly spread due to high winds and dry conditions. This area is still recovery from #Helene areas affected are Old Fort, Crooked Creek and Bat Cave. You can see the smoke plume on radar. Mandatory evacuations are underway. #WNCwx
