Pyramid of Khafre, in Egypt
Damage to the side of British battleship HMS Warspite received during the Battle of Jutland in May 1916. This hole was caused by a 12-inch (305 mm) shell, which penetrated into the ship and detonated under her 15-inch gun turret. This photo is 108 years old.

The Lady of Elche is a limestone bust that dates back to the 4th century BC. It is beautifully and intricately carved, featuring a woman"s face and elaborate headgear. The clothing, jewelry, and headdress suggest that the figure was of high status, possibly royal or divine.

The most striking and complete ancient Greek monumental complex still existing in our times- Athens
In a recent post I mentioned the tallest remaining section of Hadrian"s Wall at Hare Hill near Lanercost Priory in Cumbria, England. This here is a reconstruction of how it may have appeared in the 2nd century AD compared to today. The walkway and crenellated parapet are debatable, but the Wall was thick enough to accommodate a walkway and certainly had one at milecastles and larger forts. Did it have one all the way along, though? . .
Reconstruction by English Heritage, it didn"t actually state which person.
Mummy of Thutmose IV
Thutmose IV was the 8th Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Egypt, who ruled in approximately the 14th century BC.
He was son of Amenhotep II
Father of Amenhotep III
Grandfather of Akhenaten
Great-Grandfather of Tutankhamun
The prognathism Of the Sphinx doesnβt match with current egyptianβs. For me, The Sphinx is the highest significant proof that ancestors printed in stone for Eternity. No matter how ancient Egypt became multi-racial because of Eurasians invasions, it was a Black civilization at the beginning.
THERE WAS SOMEONE BEFORE US..
The rocky blocks you see in the photo, which weigh several tons and reach nearly 7 meters high, are at least 11,000 years old according to C14 radiocarbon analysis. These are some of the many pillars that constituted the site of GΓΆbekli Tepe, on the Turkish-Syria border. The civilization that built this site and other similar sites still has no name. In fact, until recently, their existence was completely unknown...
We do know a few things about them though. They didn"t practice farming, since all the seeds found in GΓΆbekli Tepe are wild and uncultivated. They also didn"t farm, since the numerous meat leftovers found (it appears they held huge feasts) are all game, not farm animals. In addition, the stylized statues in the center of stone circles carry sashes. This means it didn"t have to be cold at the time of GΓΆbekli Tepe being built. All of these elements suggest that the home site is probably much older than it appears. Maybe even several thousand years older...
This is not a funeral site, as no bodies were found inside. It"s not a sanctuary either, for no god or deity is represented there. It does not appear to be a city or a village, as there does not seem to be a proper water source to quench the thirst of a large group of people. What"s this all about then? On the walls of GΓΆbekli Tepe are engraved hundreds of "snakes" descending from above, from the sky. Celestial beings appear, where do these "snakes" come from. According to astronomers, about 12,000 years ago, a swarm of asteroids or comets heavily bombarded the Earth, destroying entire territories on four continents. This was quite a disaster. GΓΆbekli Tepe is probably a "memorial" from the time when "fire snakes," i.e. fragments of comets falling from above, destroyed the world...
But if GΓΆbekli Tepe is a memorial to the cataclysm that struck us some 12,800 years ago, where are the cities of the builders? What were their customs? And especially where did they come from?

Emperor Qin"s Tomb The Terra-Cotta Army protects the tomb of China"s first emperor.
Workers digging a well outside the city of Xi"an, China, in 1974 struck upon one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world: a life-size clay soldier poised for battle.
The diggers notified Chinese authorities, who dispatched government archaeologists to the site.
They found not one, but thousands of clay soldiers, each with unique facial expressions and positioned according to rank. And though largely gray today, patches of paint hint at once brightly colored clothes. Further excavations have revealed swords, arrow tips, and other weapons, many in pristine condition.
The soldiers are in trenchlike, underground corridors. In some of the corridors, clay horses are aligned four abreast; behind them are wooden chariots.
The terra-cotta army, as it is known, is part of an elaborate mausoleum created to accompany the first emperor of China into the afterlife, according to archaeologists.

The tower of the 19th-century St Michael"s Church from an alleyway in Stanwix in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. This photo may not seem interesting, but I am standing inside what should be one of the best sites on Hadrian"s WallβUxelodunum.
Uxelodunum is better known as Petriana or Stanwix Fort. It was the largest fort on Hadrian"s Wall, but is now completely buried beneath the suburb of Stanwix. There were once some exposed stones in the Cumbria Park Hotel carpark, but so far as I know, they have now been covered.
Uxelodunum"s location approximately midway along the frontier defences (including the Western Sea Defences), as well as its size and large garrison, suggests that it might have served as the headquarters of the frontier defences. Unfortunately, Uxelodunum"s close proximity to the growing city of Carlisle guaranteed that once it was abandoned, its stone was taken for other building projects. Since then, Carlisle has expanded beyond its walls and today, houses and a school occupy the site.
Every time I pass through this part of Stanwix I can"t help but think to myself: the Ala Gallorum Petriana, an elite thousand-strong cavalry unit of the Roman Empire, was here.
