What is the best way to grow as a business? 💰

Understand and CARE about your consumers by listening to them. Getting stuck in the mindset that consumers = metrics is so easy.

Maybe you're left-brained self is screaming, "but I need to look at the data to make informed decisions!"

You're not wrong, BUT that's only half the solution. We often stick to social monitoring to understand what our consumers are thinking. We look at comments, engagements, and reviews. And, while those tell us WHAT they like, it does little to explain the WHY.

Social listening helps us fill the gaps where metrics can't take us.

🚨UPCOMING INSTAGRAM FEATURE🚨

All forms of video-based content are becoming more crucial to utilize as it takes over the social media world. Currently, the limit for Instagram Stories is 15 seconds; stories longer than 15 seconds would appear in multiple segments but not as one video.

The shorter time limit made uploading the process to Instagram Stories tedious and challenging. However, an upcoming update will increase the time limit of Instagram stories to 60 seconds.

The change presents more opportunities for businesses to showcase their products and services through video-based content. The increased time limit allows companies to share stories about their brand without worrying about being split into 15-second segments.

🚨Instagram Tip!🚨

Step up your carousel posts!

Carousel posts are a great way to make the most of a single post. Polish them up by making them SEAMLESS!

➡️ Open up Canva and create a custom post.
➡️ Enter the size 1350* (or 1080** depending on Instagram's version) for the height). Multiply the # of slides by 1080 for the width.
➡️ Make one huge graphic as the background of the post.
➡️ With the ruler function, split the graphic up by multiples of 1080.
➡️ Put information in their respective spots.
➡️ Save a copy of the graphic for every # of slides. (Instagram will NOT let you select one image multiple times for a carousel post.)

✅ Those who have the 1350 height Instagram news feed, you must CROP each slide. The image will be so wide that, by default, Instagram will not let you upload it as if it is 1350x1080.

✅ For those with the original Instagram news feed, Instagram will allow you to crop each slide as squares for your carousel post.

Instagram has launched a new feature for its maps tool! Users can now view nearby businesses, filter results by category, and save locations!
 
This feature can now be accessed by tapping a location tag on a post/story or by a simple search using Explore tab.
