No. 20/19 Kentucky had four players in double figures and the Cats knocked off No. 18/18 Louisville 71-61 in overtime on Saturday night inside Historic Memorial Coliseum.

Georgia Amoore led all scorers with 19 points, while Teonni Key had a career-high 17. Dazia Lawrence had 14 for the Cats, while Clara Strack had 12.

Kentucky (4-0) snapped a seven-game losing streak to Louisville in the process, beating U of L for the first time since 2015.

Louisville grabbed the lead early, 4-2, before Kentucky scored eight in row, including four by Strack, to lead 10-4. The Cards answered, scoring seven in a row to take the lead back.

UK responded with a Lawrence layup and an Amoore jumper to lead 14-11. The back-and-forth continued as the Cards scored the next four to lead 15-14. Just before the end of the period, Amoore converted a reverse layup and the Cats led 16-15 after one period.

In the second period, Louisville got off to a quick start, scoring six in a row to lead 21-16. Amoore hit a three-pointer to get UK within two, 21-19. However, U of L went on a 6-2 run to lead 27-21 with 3:51 left in the half.

UK would get a layup from Strack and a jumper from Key to make it 27-25. Louisville answered with a three but Key would score the final basket of the half, cutting the Cardsā€™ advantage to 30-27 at the break.

Early in the third quarter, Lawrence hit a three to get UK within two, 32-30. But again, Louisville had the answer, scoring four straight to lead 36-30. Kentucky would get three straight points from Key to make it 36-33. The Cats would draw even on an Amoore three with 4:50 left in the third quarter. And when Amelia Hassett made a reverse layup, the Cats had run off eight consecutive points and grabbed a 38-36 lead with 3:48 remaining in the period.

With UK leading 39-37, the Cards got three consecutive threes from Imari Berry, as the Cards grabbed a 46-39 advantage. Amoore would hit a three for UK to get the Cats within four, 46-42. That would be the score through three periods.

As the fourth quarter began, Amoore drove to the basket for two, getting the Cats within two, 46-44. However, Berry hit another three and U of L led 49-44. UK got baskets from Key and Strack to make it 49-48 with 8:37 remaining.

UK would continue to hang in the game but was unable to get over the hump. Kentucky finally tied the game, 56-56, on a Hassett layup with 2:27 to play. Hassett would be fouled with 1:39 to play and she converted both free throws to give UK a 58-56 advantage.

Louisvilleā€™s Jaā€™Leah Williams drove to the basket on the Cardsā€™ next possession, but Strack blocked the shot and grabbed the rebound. However, the Cats would turn it over on their next possession. After Louisville came up empty on its next possession, Lawrence was fouled on the UK offensive end with 34.6 seconds remaining. However, she missed both free throws and U of L got the rebound and called timeout to advance the ball to halfcourt.

U of Lā€™s Merissah Russell tied the score on a layup on the ensuing possession. Kentucky had a chance to win on the final possession, but Amooreā€™s shot was blocked and the game went to overtime.

In the extra time, Key would grab an offensive rebound and was fouled. She made both free throws to give the Cats a 60-58 advantage. Less than a minute later, Strack made two free throws and UK extended the lead to 62-58.

U of L would get one free throw to cut the UK lead to three before Hassett hit a pair of free throws to extend the lead to 64-59 with 1:57 to play. The Cards would cut it to three on a pair of free throws with 1:43 remaining.

UK would extend the lead on a Lawrence layup with 1:00 to play. Hassett made one of two at the line with 51 seconds to play, making it 67-61.

Amoore would knock down a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left, giving Kentucky a 69-61 lead. Key capped the scoring with a layup with 25 seconds left.

Kentucky returns to action on Monday, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne at HMC. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on SEC Network Plus.

Jamarion Wilcox rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown, and the Kentucky defense kept Murray State out of the end zone as the Cats cruised past the Racers 48-6 on Saturday at Kroger Field.

For Wilcox, it was his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game, after his 102-yard rushing effort at Tennessee two weeks ago.

The Cats had one of their best offensive performances of the season, racking up 581 yards of total offense in the victory.

Kentucky (4-6) got a big effort from its defense as well. Jordan Lovett had a pair of interceptions and the UK defenders held the Racers without a touchdown in the contest.

Murray State (1-10) had the gameā€™s first possession and the Racers quickly got to midfield, aided by a couple of UK penalties. However, Kentucky defensive back Jordan Lovett intercepted MSUā€™s Jayden Johannsen at the UK 33 yard line.

On the fourth play of the ensuing drive, Vandagriff went deep for freshman Hardley Gilmore, but the pass was underthrown. However, the MSU defensive back had it glance off his hands and into Gilmoreā€™s, resulting in a 52-yard touchdown. Alex Raynor added the PAT and Kentucky led 7-0 with 11:09 left in the first quarter. The touchdown was the first of Gilmoreā€™s career.

The UK defense forced MSU into a three-and-out and, after a penalty on the Racers during the punt return, Kentucky took over at its own 49 yard line. However, on the first play of the next drive, Vandagriff was intercepted by MSUā€™s KaVan Reed, who returned it to the MSU 46.

Again the UK defense forced a three-and-out and the Racers were forced to punt. Kentucky took over at itā€™s own 27 with 6:23 left in the first quarter.

The Cats would face a third and nine on the next drive before Vandagriff found Dane Key across the middle for a 26-yard gain, getting the Cats into Racers territory. Vandagriff would gain 22 yards on a scramble, getting the Cats to the MSU three yard line. On the next play, Demie Sumo-Karngbaye hit pay dirt with a three-yard touchdown rush. Raynor added the PAT and UK led 14-0 with 1:00 left in the quarter. That would be the score after 15 minutes of action.

Murray State would make one first down on its next drive and the Racers punted. The Cats would take over at their own 20 with 14:07 left in the half. However, a holding penalty foiled the drive and UK punted. The Racers took over at their own 19 yard line with 12:05 left in the half.

MSU would again get one first down, and would drive near midfield, before the UK defense forced another punt. Kentucky took over at its own eight yard line with 9:46 left in the half.

UK would put together a strong drive, one that included strong rushes by Wilcox of 32, 13 and 15 yards. The Cats would get deep into Murray State territory before the drive stalled and UK was forced into a 32-yard field goal attempt from Raynor. The kick was good and Kentucky led 17-0 with 5:27 to play in the half.

Murray State would move the ball into UK territory on its next drive, with a 44-yard pass from Jim Ogle to Jā€™Kalon Carter doing a lot of the damage. However, the drive came to an end when Lovett intercepted Ogle at the UK nine yard line, ending the threat.

UK would go into its two-minute offense and Vandagriff got first-down receptions from Fred Farrier, Sumo-Karngbaye and Gilmore. With 17 seconds left in the half, Vandagriff found Jaā€™Mori Maclin in the corner of the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown. Raynor again added the point after and the Cats led 24-0 just before the half. That would be the halftime score.

Kentucky got the ball to start the second half and true freshman Cutter Boley was under center. On his first pass of the game, Boley connected with tight end Josh Kattus for a 19-yard gain. Later in the drive, Boley connected with Key for a game of 18. On the next play, Wilcox rumbled for 20 yard, getting the Cats to the MSU four yard line. On the next play, Wilcox scored from four yards out, increasing the UK lead. Raynor added the point after and UK led 31-0 with 11:42 to play in the third quarter.

The UK defense would force another three-and-out on the next MSU possession and the Racers would punt. Kentucky took over at its own 49 yard line with 10:35 left in the third quarter.

On the first play of the ensuing drive, Boley kept the ball around left end for a 30-yard gain. Two plays later, Boley found Anthony Brown-Stephens across the middle for a 15-yard gain, getting the Cats to the MSU six yard line. However, an untimely penalty stalled the drive and UK ended up settling for a 26-yard Raynor field goal to take a 34-0 lead with 8:30 left in the third period.

Murray State would get on the board on its next drive. The Racers went 77 yards in 13 plays and got a 32-yard field goal from James London to cut the UK lead to 34-3 with 47 seconds left in the third quarter.

Kentucky fumbled on the subsequent kickoff and Murray State recovered, taking over at the UK 19 yard line with 32 seconds left in the third quarter.

In the final stanza, the Racers added a field goal to cut the UK lead to 34-6.

The Cats would add a pair of Boley-to Brown-Stephens touchdowns in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin of victory.

Kentucky returns to action next week, facing nationally-ranked Texas in Austin. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on ABC.
