So many Christians gratify the desires of the flesh.
Since God is just (Deut. 32:4) and the ultimate lawgiver (Jas. 4:12), his laws and judgment are just and righteous (Pas. 19:7-9; 111:7-8). They are to be applied without partiality (Lev. 19:15; Num 15:16; Deut1:17) because justice is the moral standard by which God measures human conduct (Is. 26:7). A government’s role then is to be his instrument of divine justice by impartially establishing, reflecting, and applying his divine standards of justice in society (Deut 4:7-8; 2 Sam. 8:5; Ps. 72:1-2,4).
Biblical justice is the equitable and impartial application of the rule of God’s moral law in society. Whether exercising itself through economic, political, social, or criminal justice, the one constant within all four realms is the understanding and application of God’s moral law within the social realm. The Bible expressly states that the reason there is social disintegration in the form of all kinds of immorality and domestic and international chaos is that humanity wrongfully segregates the spiritual from the social (2 Chr. 15:3-6). When God created man, he gave him the responsibility to rule the earth under divine authority while simultaneously spreading God’s image throughout the world (Gen. 1:26-28).
It was man’s refusal to submit to the divine authority that led to social disintegration When man disobeyed God, the result was the family breakdown, economic struggle, emotional instability, and physical death (Gen. 3:1-19). The closer God’s rule is followed in society, the more ordered society will be. The further God’s rule is removed from the culture, the more chaotic culture becomes. I pray that the church of Jesus Christ might understand that we are dealing with the spiritual and wake up from her sleep, and stop getting mad, at the world. And put-on Christ, and stop looking and talking like the world.
