I am glad the secret is finally out so that we can talk about why you would be hard pressed to find a person that so deeply and genuinely cares about our community, the way Friday does. His energy and enthusiasm for our city is inspiring and I know you guys will see how dedicated to this cause he is as his campaign progresses. This run makes complete sense to me in that he is attempting to practice what he has passionately preached, to "Stop concentrating on problem and start working on solution!" It is truly an honor and a privilege to call him friend and co-host. I wish him the best of luck and hope you are able to do so with your shares and likes as well. As we get closer to 2020, the greatness of our guest just keeps getting better and better! Monroe really does have great people! We have a pretty jammed packed first week to
get it all kicked off starting with talking about the Veterans Expo coming up, POTUS coming to Monroe, DJ graduates from Leadership Ouachita this week and Friday has Leadership Louisiana the first Thursday which will allow us to bring in as a special guest host, Tyler Flemister, the 2019 ULM Rising Young Star Alumni Award Recipient to help interview Scott McDonald, ULM's Athletic Director!

Yet another amazing person in our community doing great things! Well deserved Tyler Flemister!

We'd like to congratulate our 2019 Rising Young Alumni Award recipient, Tyler Flemister. This award is given to an alumnus that is a general supporter of his community, exhibits philanthropy, and actively seeks to positively impact ULM programs and influence others on behalf of ULM. Tyler received a Bachelor of Business Administration from ULM in 2008. While attending ULM, he served in numerous student organizations including Campus Activities Board and Student Government Association. Along with being an active student leader during his undergraduate career, Tyler was also a student athlete as a member of the ULM Baseball team from 2004-2007.

After graduating, Tyler has been committed to progressing ULM by serving as a Board Member for the Warhawk Club, being an active member of the ULM Alumni Association, L-Club member, and an active member of the Ouachita Parish Alumni Chapter. Tyler has been instrumental in the success of several key events at ULM by serving on the Wine Over Water Committee for the past 12 years, serving on The Pursuit Committee, and serving on the Night of Champions Committee. Along with his service to ULM organizations and committees, Tyler is an avid ULM athletic supporter and can be found cheering on the Warhawks during football, basketball, and baseball seasons.

Tyler is married to Becky Flemister, who is also a graduate of ULM (BS in Communicative Disorders in ’08). They have two adorable daughters (Madelyn and Molly) and they reside in Monroe, LA. They are very active in their church, North Monroe Baptist, and are active in the community. Tyler works for Marsala Beverage as the VP of Marketing.
