Off off a beautiful country road sits property ravaged by time. In 1778, Harriet Cruger built Henderson House. Then around 1834 or 1836 depending who you ask Gelston Castle was built. Harriet designed her castle using similar architecture from a Scottish castle she spent time in as a child. She was adamant that upon her death she be buried alongside family in the Henderson Cemetery. However, her family went against her wishes and had her buried in NYC. Harriet is said to still wander her beloved estate.
