A little update on the interior installation and unfortunately I did not get any footage of this because, damn that headliner was a pain in the ass! Here's the list of that I did
First the tricky part, sunroof slide...YOU CAN REMOVE IT OUT THE TOP! Undo the (4) 8mm bolts holding the sunroof glass in place, take out glass then in the slide, there are 4 clips on each corner. Depressing the 2 in front first, pull the front out the track then slide the shade forward and get the rear 2. It's pretty simple once you grasp the concept.
Then, I removed all interior pieces, seats and moldings
Removed all carpet and padding
Removed headliner (sucks) FYI the wires for the upper controls and dome lights are glued TO THE HEADLINER so I just pulled the wires off and let them hang.
Cleaned carpet and padding with LA's totally awesome laundry detergent and LA's totally awesome cleaner for tougher spots.
Now the fun part for the headliner. I had to pull off the old material which left the old foam on the fiber board, you can either scrape it or use 60 grit paper with a 5" orbital sander to get it off (which is what I did) finish sanding off old foam and cleaned (just blew it off and wiped it down) be sure to wear PPE because you'll be sanding and getting fiberglass all over the place and yourself.
Next I installed the new headliner material i got (5 yards) of it from hobby lobby just to be sure i had more than enough and it was plenty for the Yukon and going against other recommendations (because I already bought 4 cans of 3m 90) and I was limited on time and had to order the other stuff a day couldn't wait. So we'll see if it holds up.
Reinstalled padding and went with harbor freight moving blankets on top of that, for added heat and sound deadening. Then Reinstalled carpet and headliner. I will be adding actual sound proofing butyl rubber matt to the back walls and inside doors today for more added sound proofing.
Here are some pics of yall have any questions feel free to ask!
