RVer’s: Local Breweries question in general; we’re empty nest 50 somethings and feel like we don’t fit in because we don’t have kids and dogs milling about around us. Is this a new thing? I’m gen X and all, and my parents would have never.. Looking for thoughts. Yay, nay, indifferent? Do we need to get with the times? Hahaha

Ok, so as a full timer what I do miss is decorating the sticks and bricks for Christmas. Really do miss that one. Hard to put the same level into an RV.

Welp everyone, got our continuation of our full time RV travels as we made our journey from the Gulf Coast to Littleton Colorado.

Renee and I both picked up the good ole covid on the way, started to slowly realize a 28yr old diesel on larger tires was not an optimal towing setup compared to newer diesels, and just generally figured out how to camp and vacation 24/7. Hahaha

Happy Thanksgiving from our camper to yours! So grateful for this lifestyle.

Our menu~cajun air fryer chicken legs & thighs, (no turkey legs to be found in our area) macaroni and cheese, green, bean & artichoke casserole, rolls, and fireball pumpkin pie for dessert! Pretty proud of my easy bake camper oven skills lol.

It’s been a little bit, time got away from us being back at “home base” or “home camp” in Mobile, AL. Here is where we’ve called “home” throughout Greg’s entire military career and even now so in retirement. That is, until we find where we want to finally plant roots for good.

We are fortunate to be able to park and stay at his sister and brother in laws property with full hookups. My parents live just down the road as well as more in laws and we have plenty of friends here too.

This is where we will winter. With a few random southern trips in between (Helen, GA Christmas Festival, here we come).
Greg has some tweaks he wants to do before we head off after the cold weather, some changes to make, and being temporarily stationary allows this to take place.

We arrived during The Greater Gulf State Fair which we enjoyed (for the first time in decades) with family, kids make it so much more fun. We ran all over the fair following our 12yr old niece and her friend as they rode all the rides. Greg had a bumper car battle with his buddy, 6yr old nephew, that will be forever a fun memory. Good times.

We also got in a full night of trick or treating with the kids, and our great niece, 3yr old, has become another miniature buddy to us. Have I mentioned how fun kids make things?

Another home base task was voting. Alabama doesn’t allow early voting, and absentee just wasn’t in the cards for us since we were steadily traveling around without a stationary address to await ballots. So to my old High School we went on Nov 5th!🇺🇸

Finding a new hair salon since leaving North Carolina was a must for me, and wow did my new stylist knock it out of the park. Maybe she being a curly girl herself, helped haha.

Visiting more friends and family, renewing our Costco membership, and Greg getting started and acquainted with video editing software😬….yes he’s working on getting that 2Miles2Go YouTube Channel going. Pretty sure it’ll be a hot mess/train wreck! Bet y’all can’t wait😆
