On today's Johnny Dare Morning Show...For those who have been following the show, Johnny made the following announcement yesterday:
"I lost my dear friend George Kieffer today, it doesn’t seem possible that the friend I spent so many years laughing with, talking to, exploring the ocean and learning from can really be gone. He was a true pirate, a fiercely loyal friend , a devoted and proud father, a deeply respected marine biologist and truly good human. I’ll see you on the other side George. You’re a fu***ng legend, I love you brother I miss you already."

We expect Johnny to be back tomorrow and the show will be back as usual...but today the rest of of will bring you news and updates, we'll play some more Best Of bits, Leif Lisec will have Sports In Your Shorts, and we have Sevendust/ Papa Roach and Steel Panther tickets.

And from all of us here at the JDMS and The Rock, we'd like to thank you all for your endless word of sympathy and support...they've meant the world to George and his family and friends...as well as to Johnny.

Update. As many of you know I came to the Netherlands to visit my good friend George while he’s receiving cancer treatment in Rotterdam. While I’ve been here George was feeling progressively more and more sick. George was taken to the hospital in Utrecht and diagnosed with advanced pneumonia (staphylococcus aureus) in a just a day it was obvious that it has taken a hard turn. His blood oxygen saturation was dangerously low, George was struggling to breathe as the staph infection spread rapidly and the medical team made the decision to put him on a ventilator. It’s a waiting game now, the next 24-36 hours will be crucial. Thank you for your understanding, support and love for George. I’ll be back when possible.
