The forecast for the Northern Lights continues to have a very good chance of showing tonight! The energy from the sun has already entered Earth's atmosphere at roughly 1.5 million miles per hour and levels of intensity are expected to be a G3, if not higher (G4). Tonight is the best chance of seeing the northern lights, compared to Friday night.... BUT the cloud cover will probably be in the way from sunset tonight to midnight. Once we get past midnight, the clouds will start to move out. Skies will begin to clear out from the NW and continue to clear towards the SE. So, from midnight to sunrise will probably be our best bet of seeing the northern lights.

If it was dark outside right now, we could probably see them as the Kp Index is currently sitting at a 7. Let's hope this holds and the skies clear!
