MY RELATIVES THOUGHT THEY HAD ROBBED OUR RICH, BLIND GRANDFATHER, BUT HE TURNED OUT TO BE MUCH SMARTER
It's hard to put into words just how close I've always been with my grandpa. He was the one constant source of love and support in my family for as long as I can remember.
But over time, his health started to decline rapidly, and eventually, he lost his eyesight. As heartbreaking as that was, the worst part was knowing the doctors didn't have good news for us — he didn't have much time left.
One day, he called us all into his room, where he'd been spending most of his final weeks. "I'm sad I can't see any of you anymore," he said. "I'd give anything to see your faces again, but it's too late for that now."
We stood around his bed in silence, and I noticed something — everyone's eyes kept drifting to his safe, which was oddly left slightly open. It was like they were all thinking the same thing: if they took something, he'd never know.
Then Grandpa said, "Now, I'd like you all to leave the room and come back one at a time." That was the beginning of his plan. ⬇️
