Tonight (6/24), drink for a good cause at Wine:30 Bar Milwaukie, 6-8 p.m. For every every glass/pint poured, $1 will be donated to Good Roots Community Food Bank, serving those in need who live in the 97222 and 97267 zip codes.

And, local celebrity Lenny Bennett (he prefers the French pronounciation) will be guest bar-tending tonight. So come on down, say hello to Lenny and help us raise money to help our neighbors who are in need. Cheers!!!

Today's brought to us courtesy of Roger and Ives (Thanks for the photo, Roger!).

Remember when the transformer blew a month ago and knocked the power out in downtown? OF COURSE YOU DO!!! This pic is of the culprit that brought downtown to its knees. Obviously, the poor guy flew in at an angle and touched both lines, leading to the BOOM heard round the neighborhood. Yes, his goose was totally and completely cooked.

Have you guys met Milwaukie neighbor Joe Jackson? This smart, lively guy hangs his hat at Willamette View and really enjoys spending time at Wine:30 Bar Milwaukie. If you see him there, be sure to engage him in a conversation because this man is a delight. So much knowledge and so much fun! He's super excited about the Orange Line because it will make his life much easier. Best of all, service begins on his birthday—now THAT's a gift, right?
